Monday Night RAW 1-28-14
Monday Night RAW opens up with a short video package hyping up the newest member of The Authority… CM Punk. A recap of last night’s Royal Rumble plays as it shows John Cena claiming his 15th World Title and CM Punk turning on his long-time friend Daniel Bryan and aligning with The Authority to win the Royal Rumble Match. We cut to the arena where Yes! chants fill the arena but quickly turn to boos as Triple H’s music hits. The COO and his wife Stephanie McMahon make their way down to the ring as the fans boo them mercilessly. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon introduce the Royal Rumble winner CM Punk! CM Punk’s new theme blasts throughout the arena as the fans start chanting ”You sold out! You sold out! You sold out!’. CM Punk walks out onto the stage with an old-new look as he has his head shaved and his Wolverine sideburns shaved as well. The Royal Rumble winner enters the ring and shakes hands with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon before taking the mic and speaking to the fans he turned his back on. Punk begins ripping them apart and blaming the fans for his fall from being the longest reigning WWE Champion in the modern era to being stuck in multiple meaningless handicapped matches. He then says that the second he decided to only care about himself he won the Royal Rumble and is now on his way to headlining the biggest Wrestlemania in WWE history. As Punk continues to go on about joining forces with The Authority until Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and The Show-Off makes his way down to the ring and stands across from Punk, Triple H and Stephanie. Dolph begins talking about how he was supposed to be in the the Royal Rumble but his opportunity was taken away because of Triple H costing him his chance and then he was forced to compete in a 1 on 3 match against a powerful group like The SHIELD and it was all because of The Authority. Triple H cuts Ziggler off and tells Ziggler that Dolph needs to stop blaming others and instead look in the mirror because that is where the true issue lies. Triple H says that he is rooting for Ziggler to prove himself as a top guy in this company but he isn’t going to make it easy on him because tonight Dolph Ziggler will compete in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match against the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton tonight in the main event. We then cut to commercial.
