Manchester United vs. Swansea City
1. De Gea 2. Willems 4. Jones (c) 5. Rojo 3. Shaw 17. Blind 21. Herrera 8. Pjanic 7. Di Maria 10. Lacazette 19. Depay

Manchester United 2-0 Swansea City 50' Lacazette 81' Herrera OFF Tielemans ON 81' Di Maria OFF Shaqiri ON 81' Blind OFF Adnan ON 84' Shaqiri
Summary Solid performance from United, shutting out Swansea from start to finish. Few chances were available in the first half, but when the first goal went in thanks to a bit of bad defending from Swansea, the game opened up entirely and allowed Shaqiri to wrap it up 3 minutes after coming off the bench.

Burnley vs. Manchester United

30. Scuffet 15. Rudiger 20. Adnan 29. Vilhena 24. Narsingh 18. El Ghazi 9. Falcao
Burnley 0-2 Manchester United 16' Herrera 75' Shaqiri OFF Narsingh ON 75' Herrera OFF Vilhena ON 76' Lacazette 80' Pjanic OFF El Ghazi ON
Summary Complete domination from United. Burnley were struggling to find a way through the defence and it showed with them only getting 2 shots away in the entire game. Solid defending and the link up play between Shaqiri and Lacazette was incredible. Herrera showed good ball control to work his way through the defence and slot home for the first goal, and Lacazette managed to capitalise on a poor clearance from a corner to strike home into the bottom corner to seal all 3 points.

Arguably Manchester United's best signing so far, Alexandre Lacazette, has been ruled out for up to a month after spraining his ankle against Leicester City. He was replaced after 38 minutes by Spanish striker Paco Alcacer. It is thought that Alcacer would take his place in the line up rather than Radamel Falcao, who is out of favour under Paul Heyman.
