Steve Nash and Phoenix Suns part waysThe two-time MVP Steve Nash has been traded away from the Phoenix Suns, the team that drafted way back in 1996. He played for the Suns from 1996 - 1998 and then once again in 2004 - 2010. He has been traded to the New York Knicks for Chauncey Billups, 22 year old Landry Fields and two first round draft picks. Hakim Warrick was also sent to New York most likely to free up more cap room as he is owed roughly 4 Million for 3 years. Nash will be joining one of the best scorers in the game, Carmelo Anthony, while also reuniting with his former teammate, Amar'e Stoudemire, and his former coach, Mike D'Antoni.
