*beep beep* *beep beep*
My phone buzzes. A text message. It's Pre-Season! Maybe I'm in the Squad!
From Arsene Wenger...good start!
It reads:
Chuba. I have decided that you should go out on loan. I have listed you for loan and I will let you know when a suitable offer comes in. Following your loan, you will return to Arsenal and we have a look at your position within the squad then.
My heart sank. I thought this was the season.

Not even in the squad for pre-season. Doesn't mean I can't stop by the Emirates to support the boys!
Friendly Arsenal vs Stade De Reims 6-1 Arsenal
I sat in awe as I watched the performance's of my colleagues. Me and a few of the other lads were completely breathtaken by the performance! Nacho, Aaron, Danny and Mesut all got on the score sheet, Nacho and Danny banging in two each. Somehow, I can't stop wishing it was me instead of Danny.

Sat in the stands once more. Can't say I don't enjoy acting the fan! Maybe one day it will be me. Good to see Issac Hayden getting a chance though!
Cordoba vs Arsenal
Not as good a performance as the first! Took us until the 88th minute to score, due to the sending off of Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta tapping in a rebound. Bet'cha I could have made a difference

4th August 2014
Might have to buy myself a season ticket. Never out this stand. No time to be bitter though, have to support the lads!
Arsenal vs Augsburg 2-0 Arsenal
What a game! Danny and Alexis proving why they deserve to be in this team! Alexis is going to be phenomenal this season, I just know it.

August 10th, 2014 COMMUNITY SHIELD ARSENAL VS MAN CITY WEMBLEY
The boss hired out a huge team bus for us, meaning that us youngsters who aren't getting the chances to play can come watch at Wembley. Gedion and I have a cheeky bet on, I reckon the lads are gonna score four against City, he reckons it'll go to penalties. Taken my seat inside Wembley. Maybe one day I'll play here. For now though, it's time to be a Gunners fan!
Arsenal vs Man City 2-1 Arsenal
Not even at the season yet and the boys have lifted silverware! Mesut showing what a talent he can be as he tore City's defense apart....twice. At least Gedion or I don't have to fork out any cash.

16th August, 2014
Boss says he can't believe there is no interest in me. I laugh it off, but secretly I'm thinking the same thing. He tells me that if there is no interest by the end of the window, I'll be in the Cup team. Don't think that's a promise he can keep.
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace 2-1 Arsenal
Ozil continuing that Community Shield form and scoring another two, slotting cooly past Julian Speroni. Took until late in the game for Palace to score through Yannick Bolasie.

August 26th, 2014 Everton vs Arsenal
I'm in! I'm starting my first game of the season. Need to put in a good performance here to ensure that if there is any hope of me breaking through, it's now. Sitting in the changing room, just feeling the Arsenal fans around Goodison singing the songs of Arsenal FC. This is it. This is my chance.
Everton vs Arsenal
GK Wojciech Szczesny RB Mathieu Debuchy CB Laurent Koscielny CB Gabriel Paulista LB Nacho Monreal CM Aaron Ramsey CM Jack Wilshere CAM Santi Cazorla LW Danny Welbeck ST CHUBA AKPOM RW Alexis Sanchez
Result 4-0 Arsenal
I've been told that I had a good game. I lasted until the 88th minute of the game before being replaced by Giroud. Had a few good chance, skied one, put one wide, but the first goal was knocked in by Theo Walcott, off the bench, after my shot was parried by Timmy Howard. Devastated to have skied that chance over though. That could have been it. Transfer Deadline day in 5 days. Have to see if that performance was good enough to put me in the shop window!

Leicester City vs Arsenal
Not selected. Watching from the stands once more. 1 day to see if a loan offer comes in for me.
Leicester City vs Arsenal 0-1 Arsenal
Giroud managed to get his head to a ball crossed in from Mesut Ozil in the 88th minute. Bad news from the game though as Alexis Sanchez picks up an injury, but not as bad as we all thought. A week. He's getting the piss taken out of him for being a drama queen, but it's all in good spirit.

TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY
Good and bad news. On one hand, the boss has removed me from the loan list. The bad news is now there is more competition. Jackson Martinez was brought in from Porto, he's going to be the starter, so whether or not the plan is to keep Danny out wide or not, we'll have to wait and see. Chelsea strengthed their team by signing Jerome Boateng from Bayern, the traitor that is Samir Nasri left Manchester City for Atletico Madrid, and Per Mertesacker said goodbye to us, leaving for Newcastle. Never another BFG. Spurs sold Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris, so can't wait to play against the Spurs, and win comfortably. Last few minutes, it's time to turn the TV off. Jim White, good to see you, see you in January.
OT - Game glitched. Not a single loan offer through out the months. Oh well!

Champions League Group Stage Arsenal vs CSKA Moscow
Not gonna start this game. Not surprised. Jackson Martinez is getting his first game for the team, should be good to watch a world-class striker in the team.
Result 2-1 Arsenal
Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil helped drag the result out. From the 35th minute, we were down to 10, losing Gabriel to a red card. Come the 67th minute it was 1-1 after Sanchez's goal late in the first half, as Berezutskiy scored a cracking header from a corner. Just when we thought it was over though, Mesut scored on the verge of being substituted off the field, making sure that our first group stage match was 3 points.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal
Bad news for me. Danny is still being played at ST, so that means I have 3 strikers in front of me in the pecking order. Never mind, I just hope the boss keeps his promise about the cup competitions.
Result 0-1 Arsenal
Alexis Sanchez clinched the game for us just after half-time, as Villa's Sanchez was sent off for a second bookable offense. Just had to score the goal and then sit back.

CAPITAL ONE CUP Arsenal vs Aston Villa
Can't believe it. Boss lied to me. Not even in the matchday squad. I was so gutted I didn't travel to the Emirates to watch the game, I sat at home, played a bit of FIFA, and kept up with the game on my phone. Feel a little betrayed, but just have to keep going.
Result 2-0 Arsenal
*Beep Beep Beep* Three rings. One goal. Olivier Giroud scores a goal! Unstoppable header from a corner apparently.
I'm turning the Playstation off now. Arsenal game must have been a boring one.
*Beep Beep Beep* Another goal in the 90th minute! Danny Welbeck taps home from the low cross to make it two. At least we're still in, because the cup is probably my last chance of first team football.
