And then it ended up 83-67 at the end of it all, in favor of the Tarheels.

I was just posting who had won, since the last post on here was yours about halftime. We definitely didn't play as good as we can, we made some mistakes that we need to fix.

I actually tuned out once UNC got on that run and watched the rest of the Hornets/Heat game, which was closer and at a later stage of the game. I'll tell you, if they can beat Providence (assuming they outlast USC), then the Tarheels should (SHOULD) be a Final Four team. And that's mostly because of Brice Johnson, who will end up contributing on a NBA team in a few years time.

The Hornets/Heat game didn't really interest me that much, even though Hornets are the home team. I think we can beat Providence, and not meaning to sound cocky, but beat any team in the tournament, if we can play the entire game like we did in the second half tonight. We came out on fire, and didn't let up. If we play like that throughout the entire game, then I think we have a really great chance at winning the entire thing.

If Roy Williams can use tonight's first half to wake his players up that a title won't come easy, I can see them going far. It's all about coaching, keeping the young kids motivated, and staying healthy, to get far in the tournament.... And yeah man, there was obviously some great plays out of Marcus Paige, but without Brice Johnson (much like Duke and Plumlee earlier today) then the Tarheels don't win that game. Brice Johnson was THE man, and to me, is the most important player for the Tarheels this season. I at least know Duke can't stop Brice! and not to get off the subject, but Hornets/Heat was a huge game for the Eastern Conference seeding. Miami dropped from 3 to either 5 or 6 in the standings because of their loss to the Hornets, who now have the same record as Miami (39-29) and they've tied the season series at 2-2. It was a big win for the Hornets, considering they have a legitimate chance at gaining a better seed than the rival Heat... Miami could've used that 3-1 advantage over the Hornets, and a win over an Eastern Conference team, but oh well... This means they'll have to work twice as hard to try and end the season back as the 3rd seed.

If Meeks can get his head together, and stop acting like a fool out on the court, then we won' have to weigh so heavily on Brice, even though he's been pretty much the best player all season long. And you're right, if Roy can make them boys understand that they have to work hard to earn the title that they deserve. I mean, not to sound like a hater, but I'm not even really that worried about the Hornet's seeding, just because I don't see them really getting that far. Like this season, they have really shown progress as a team, and maybe in another year or two when they get more building blocks, then definitely I could see them making a run, but I just don't see them doing much.

PROVIDENCE WINS! On a last second layup by Randy Bullock, #9 Providence beats the USC Trojans and will advance to play the 1-seed Tarheels in the third round (Round of 32).
Great finishes today.

Mid Tennessee State could kill my bracket now.. They lead 41-35 at halftime over #2 Michigan State.
This is not okay...

Whichever presidential candidate will ban Blue Raiders in this country and award this victory to Michigan State, they have my vote.

11-seed Northern Iowa blew a 12-point lead with about 40 seconds to go, for the 3-seed Aggies to force overtime, and then Texas AM WON in double overtime!!
That might be the biggest choker in March Madness history. Period.
