No Way Out Fallout
RAW: The brand new World Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas showed that they are the tag team of the future when they dominated tag teams week after week until Ron Simmons and Tajiri stepped up and challenged them successfully defeating them in successive weeks and Ric Flair booked a tag team title match for WrestleMania!
Chyna claimed that Awesome Kong was afraid and ran at No Way Out and Kong came out and the two brawled and would brawl for several weeks in a row until Ric Flair booked a steel cage match for the Women's Championship at WrestleMania.
AJ Styles would show his high flying prowess week after week and said that there was nobody in the back that could take him out until he was assaulted from behind by Gregory Helms (formerly The Hurricane) who would beat him down and challenge him to a match at WrestleMania which Styles would accept!
Ric Flair would prance around with the Intercontinental Championship saying that he is the greatest champion of all time and that he would never lose the championship. Chris Jericho claimed that he wanted the title back but was assaulted by Brock Lesnar who would proceed to challenge Ric Flair for the title and successfully defeat him on the March 10, 2003 episode of Raw to win the championship. A match between Lesnar and Jericho was set up for WrestleMania.
Shawn Michaels would come out and talk about how over the years he has had great matches at WrestleMania and that this year he wants that to be no different, being his first WrestleMania since 1998. He then proceeded to challenge a man he knew could go and called out The Rock to a huge ovation. The Rock hit Michaels with the Rock Bottom to signify his acceptance.
The Royal Rumble winner Sting would begin playing mind games with The Undertaker and vice versa. The promos would go back and forth for several weeks and on the go home episode of Raw, Sting hit The Undertaker with the Scorpion Death Drop much to the shock and awe of the crowd.
SMACKDOWN: Matt Hardy was pissed that Booker T was the European Champion and stated that he deserved a rematch but Vince McMahon told him that he had to earn it and booked a battle royal to decide a new number one contender and it would be Lance Storm that would shock everyone by getting the victory last eliminating Matt Hardy. Booker T and Lance Storm would brawl back and forth in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania.
Kane made his Smackdown return by attacking Chris Benoit and he would continue attacking people week after week until he said what he wanted and that was a shot at the WWE Championship. Bradshaw had major problems with that and brawled with Kane before challenging him to a Texas Street Fight at WrestleMania which Kane would accept!
Triple H said that he should not have to defend his WWE Championship at WrestleMania because he has been a very dominant champion thus far and has already defended it once. Vince McMahon thought otherwise and booked an 8 man tournament to determine a new #1 contender which would be won by William Regal. Regal proclaimed that he would proudly make Triple H tap out at WrestleMania!

WrestleMania Fallout
RAW: The new World Tag Team Champions Ron Simmons and Tajiri dominated the tag team division following their title victory at WrestleMania but Haas and Benjamin were not done and The Hollys wanted in on the fun and a triple threat match was booked for the titles at Backlash.
Chyna would gloat about her victory over Awesome Kong and claim that she was going to be the Women's Champion longer than even the Fabulous Moolah but Kong wanted a rematch and it was granted for Backlash!
Gregory Helms would compare his championship victory to winning the Super Bowl and stated that there is absolutely nobody in the back that could beat him for the title and Ric Flair proceeded to give Helms Backlash off from defending his title to find a suitable opponent.
Brock Lesnar would continue his impressive reign as Intercontinental Champion but former champion Edge stated that he wanted the title back and he won a fatal fourway match to get a shot at the title!
The Undertaker and Sting's feud over the World Heavyweight Championship continued after WrestleMania but Shawn Michaels and The Rock decided to get involved and thus a fatal fourway was scheduled for Backlash.
SMACKDOWN: New young talent Randy Orton made his WWE debut on Smackdown by attacking Kane which proved a bad decision as a feud began between the two and a match was booked for Backlash.
A mini four man tournament was held to declare a new #1 contender to the European Championship at Backlashwhich, in the end was won by Chris Benoit who would go on to make Booker T submit to the Crippler Crossface after attacking him in the ring.
Eddie Guerrero made his long awaited return to the WWE and attacked WWE Champion Triple H following a WrestleMania rematch against William Regal and the two battled back and forth before a match was booked between the two for Backlash.

Road to Judgment Day
RAW: Chyna would gloat about still being the Women's Champion and claimed that she was going to be champion until the end of time as there is no woman in the back that can beat her but Trish Stratus was having none of that and a match was booked for Judgment Day.
Gregory Helms paraded around with the Cruiserweight Championship stating that he is the greatest wrestler on the planet and that nobody can defeat him but Rey Mysterio staked his claim on a shot at the Cruiserweight title at Judgment Day.
Ron Simmons and Tajiri continued their reign as World Tag Team Champions but Maven and Albert destroyed Tajiri prior to Judgment Day and Ric Flair decided that Ron Simmons would defend the titles in a handicap match!
Brock Lesnar and his manager Paul Heyman stated that unless they got some real challenges, they were leaving the WWE with the Intercontinental Championship and going to Japan! Kurt Angle stepped up and challenged Lesnar to a submission match for the title at Judgment Day!
The Rock and Sting would begin a feud and The Rock agreed to put his career on the line against Sting at Judgment Day.
Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker would feud over the World Heavyweight Championship with Michaels getting the upperhand week after week and Ric Flair booked Michaels against Undertaker for Judgment Day.
SMACKDOWN: Randy Orton's feud with Kane continued with Kane continuously playing mind games with Orton until Orton challenged him to an Inferno match at Judgment Day!
Chris Benoit would be confronted by former European Champion Rikishi who claimed that he wanted his championship back and Benoit agreed to put it on the line at Judgment Day!
Triple H and Eddie Guerrero continued their feud but Booker T decided that it was his turn to get involved after losing the European title and Vince McMahon booked a triple threat for Judgment Day!

Road to Bad Blood
RAW: Chyna claimed that she was going to retire with the Women's Championship because there is nobody left to challenge her and that she had nothing left to accomplish. Ric Flair was having none of that and stripped Chyna of the title and fired her on the May 19, 2003 edition of Raw! He booked a battle royal at Bad Blood to crown a NEW Women's Champion.
Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms put out an open challenge to anyone in the wrestling world to come and face him at Bad Blood for the title because he will be the champion until the end of time.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman made it very clear that try as they may, nobody can defeat Lesnar for the Intercontinental Championship. The Big Show took offense to this and planted Heyman with a Chokeslam putting him out of action and a match was booked for Bad Blood.
Shawn Michaels paraded around Raw with the World Heavyweight Championship claiming that this cements his legacy as the greatest wrestler of all time. Mr. Perfect was livid about this and told Michaels that he wasn't perfect and challenged him to a match for the belt which was quickly accepted!
SMACKDOWN: New World Tag Team Champions Maven and Albert quickly showed that they are a team that is not to be messed with my demolishing several jobber teams over the weeks until new superstars John Cena and Batista made their WWE debuts and completely destroyed Maven and Albert. Vince McMahon booked a tag team title bout for the pay-per-view.
Chris Benoit put his European title on the line several weeks in a row in a series of open challenges before being brutally assaulted by Randy Orton who staked his claim to a shot at the title!
Triple H demanded a rematch for the WWE Championship and Eddie Guerrero accepted his pleas but Vince McMahon made it a Hell in a Cell match for Bad Blood!

Road to Vengeance
RAW: Kurt Angle won the 2003 King of the Ring tournament to earn a shot at Shawn Michaels' World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam meaning Michaels would have Vengeance off from defending his title.
Lita made her presence known in the Women's division and demanded a shot at Awesome Kong's Women's title and was demolished by her but Ric Flair booked a match at Vengeance for the belt anyway.
The newest Raw superstar Jimmy Jacobs would remain quiet and did not appear often on Raw after winning the Cruiserweight title and Ric Flair booked a fatal fourway between Gregory Helms, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman and AJ Styles at Vengeance with the winner getting a shot at the title at SummerSlam!
Mr. Perfect assaulted Brock Lesnar several weeks in a row and demanded an opportunity to become the Intercontinental Champion which was granted by Ric Flair.
SMACKDOWN: John Cena and Batista demanded a rematch for the tag team titles and it was granted on the July 10, 2003 episode of Smackdown and they managed to defeat Maven and Albert to become the new World Tag Team Champions.
Chris Benoit and Randy Orton continued their feud and Orton wanted a shot at Benoit inside a steel cage and Vince McMahon granted the shot.
Eddie Guerrero was left without a challenger following Bad Blood but Kane won a battle royal to become the new #1 contender to the championship for Vengeance.
Vince McMahon became embroiled in a feud against Raven in which Raven complained about Vince's managerial techniques and Vince agreed to put his position as Smackdown GM on the line against Raven at Vengeance!

Road to SummerSlam
RAW: Awesome Kong, now having run through every single female member of the roster, was seen as the greatest women's wrestler of all time by many, including Ric Flair who was close to giving her SummerSlam off until Stephanie McMahon made her WWE return and fired Flair as Raw General Manager and named her brother Shane as the new GM while naming herself the new Smackdown General Manager. Shane introduced the debuting Alexis Laree who he named the new #1 contender!
Cruiserweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs continued his run atop the division before being taken out by the #1 contender AJ Styles who made her presence known with a well placed steel chair shot. Styles promised to become a 2 time Cruiserweight Champion at SummerSlam.
Brock Lesnar looked as though he would be the champion for a very long time as he pretty much had no challengers, that was until Rhyno made his WWE return and nailed Lesnar with a Gore showing that he was a worthy challenger of Lesnar and that at SummerSlam he would take him out!
Sting, having retired The Rock at Judgment Day, made it clear that The Undertaker was next on his hit list and that he would be putting his career on the line in a Loser Leaves Raw match at SummerSlam. The Undertaker accepted with a Tombstone Piledriver.
2003 King of the Ring winner Kurt Angle attacked World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels week after week in an attempt to gain an upperhand but on the go-home Raw, Michaels hit Angle with a well timed Superkick to knock him out and finally silence him.
SMACKDOWN: Bubba Ray Dudley reunited with D-Von to reform The Dudley Boyz and they would challenge John Cena and Batista to a match for the World Tag Team titles and they would get the match but Cena and Batista would retain but Stephanie McMahon wasn't having any of that as she booked a tables match for the titles at SummerSlam!
New European Champion Randy Orton decided that nobody cared about Europe and that it was time for a new championship and introduced the United States Championship and he stated that he is going to bring glory and prestige to the belt now that it is American. This backfired as former champion William Regal took great offense and challenged Orton to a match at SummerSlam which Orton accepted!
Eddie Guerrero continued to be on a roll as the WWE Champion and it looked as though nobody was going to take the title from him...until John Bradshaw Layfield arrived and nailed Guerrero with a Clothesline from Hell. Layfield stated that one year ago he won the WWE Championship inside an Elimination Chamber and that this year he will destroy Guerrero to become the champion once again!
