For decades, the Chiefs have been a part of the NFL. This storied franchise has been building an incredible fan base for years. With the loudest stadium in the world, this team is close to unstoppable at home. For years, the Hunt family has owned this franchise. That is until the 2014 season when financial mogul Colton Carter purchased the team. Will Carter's vision lead this team to glory? Or will he spend years trying to perfect the team to the shape and mold that he envisions? We'll find out in this Madden 15 booker!

Team News
After a 2-2 pre season, the Kansas City Chiefs luckily have no injuries. However their main point they'd like to address this coming season is their offense. They averaged just a hair about 10 points a game in the exhibition games, granted their states only played limited time. They're hoping for an excellent year from wide out Dwayne Bowe. There are said to be a lot of talks of a possible Dwayne Bowe trade after the season. But if he has a good season, that will shut the rumors right up. Another player that the Chiefs are looking forward to seeing is third year corner Marcus Cooper. After having a breakout year last year, he's now been officially named the starter after the release of veteran Brandon Flowers in the off season. We'll see what he can do in the coming weeks and see if he really deserves that starting spot.
League News
A little bit of news around the NFL here. The Lions are gonna be with out Calvin Johnson for the first 5 weeks of the season and Nick Fairley for the first 7. Those are two major injuries. Hopefully Detroit has enough depth to fill those gigantic holes in their team. For the Bears, they will be missing Jared Allen for the first 7 weeks as well. Running backs in the NFC North should have some fun for a while.

BREAKING NEWS
Unfortunately for the Kansas City Chiefs, Alex Smith is going to miss the entire regular season with a torn pectoral muscle. If he were to return, it wouldn't be until the conference championship round of the playoffs. However, Smith was placed on the IR, so his 2014 season is history. For the time being, Chase Daniel will be Kansas City's starting QB, despite throwing 2/13 in the week 1 loss. With the free roster spot, KC went ahead and picked up CB Jabari Greer off of free agency. Hopefully th veteran can improve this pass defense that really struggled in causing incompletions during week 1. They need all the help they can get going on the road against the Denver Broncos.

Team News
Following the shut out loss to the Broncos, owner Colton Carter had some choice words to say with the media.
"You see, after a loss like this, you kinda brush it off and say 'it can't get any worse than this'. And that's 100% right. What I saw out there this afternoon was the worst football I've seen played on any level. These are professional athletes and they can't do anything on offense, can't stop nothin' on defense. I'll tell you what. If we get shut out against the Dolphins, I'll probably start firing people. If Chase Daniel does not compete well in Miami, then I'm going to find a new quarterback. It's that simple. Aaron Murray proved that he wasn't ready yet. I'm not gonna burn him so much as he is just a rookie. But there are some plays we have to make and if we don't make those plays next week, we're done. 0-16. Is that what this team wants? Cause it sure as hell looked like that's what they wanted out there. This has to change. And it starts next week."

BREAKING NEWS
The Chiefs have traded away a 2015 4th round pick, a 2016 3rd round pick, and Chase Daniel for QB Bryan Hoyer. Chiefs owner Colton Carter says that he thinks Hoyer has more upside, plus it'll save the team more money to resign Justin Houston. He also says that he may have given up a little too much, but he'll do some work to get some of those picks back. In the meantime, the focus from this point forward is to win as many games as possible. And he like his chances with Hoyer rather than Daniel.
Carter's still undecided about resigning Alex Smith at the end of the season. "The spot we get in the draft will most likely affect that issue"
