Didn't pay attention at all this season. Not even gonna pretend I did. I kinda hope the Lakers get someone good who could save them from obscurity, cause Kobe's team being near the top of the draft is a travesty.

Lakers are probably going to be getting Jahlil Okafor which I'm fine with, I think he's going to turn into a really good player but I think D'Angelo Russell is thee guy in this draft. BTW Thank you to your Rockets for gifting the Lakers the 27th pick this season.

You guys get him, Randle, and Kobe next season, it's gonna be a good team.

Lakers starting five next season will probably be Jordan Clarkson(Rookie First Team), Kobe Bryant, DeMarre Carroll, Julius Randle and Jahlil Okafor but I could see the Lakers signing someone big in Free Agency. Hopefully it's not Rondo or Kevin Love. Speaking of Free Agency, I think the Rockets sign LaMarcus Aldridge in Free Agency.

That could be the dagger that pushes Houston over the top as a legitimate contender. Everyone and their mother knew they didn't stand a chance against Golden State in the West Finals. LA is probably signing one of the two, but I don't see them getting both like some people say they will.

The man in charge of the Sacramento Kings is Vlade Divac. A man who is a former Laker who was traded to the Hornets for Kobe Bryant and eventually ended up on the Kings who were playing against the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals and almost eliminated the Kobe/Shaq Lakers but then... Robert Horry hit a game-winning 3 that sent the Lakers to the Finals where they ended up winning a championship. The man that tipped the ball out to Horry? Sacramento Kings player, Vlade Divac. Vlade Divac could help the Lakers one more time by sending Boogie down here to LakerLand. Praise Vlade. Praise Mitch. Praise Boogie.

So the Lakers did some things that made me want to cry tears of joy when they selected D'Angelo Russell instead of Jahlil Okafor. Jahlil seems like a genuine guy and will turn into a really good center but he's not the guy for the Lakers. I know he had his heart set on being a Laker and I really feel for the guy but Russell is a superstar level point guard with "Magical" passing vision, a really good 3 point shot and the kind of personality and leadership skill that could make him the star of the Lakers for years to come. The Lakers also drafted Larry Nance Jr at 27 which was dumb at that spot but he could be a valuable role play. Anthony Brown was a five year senior SG/SF from Stanford who is a good defender and is one of the better 3 point shooters in this draft. Lakers ended up signing undrafted rookie center Robert Upshaw who has had some behavior issues but is a really good shot-blocker and rebounder if he gets his shit together. Lakers had a really good draft and I think this is just the beginning of a fantastic off-season for LA.
