So on twitter today, a group of Eagles fans from Philly were absolutely bashing other Eagles fans that do not live in Philly. Keep in mind that I am too a die hard Eagles fan, but I live in Pittsburgh. Im also a die hard Pirates fan. Why does it matter where you live to some people to determine who you root for and be a fan of? Just makes absolutey no sense to me at all.

Some people think that unless your from Philly and moved, your just a bandwagon fan. Its fucking stupid, but eh.

I'm from Canada. My favorite teams are from Chicago, Los Angeles, Wisconsin and Kansas City so I don't see why it matters where you're from. You can be a fan from anywhere!

For me, I'm lucky enough to have a home team in a lot of the major sports (Football, Basketball, College), and I like the Rockets in the NBA. My dad's side of my family is crazy. We have a Panthers fan, a Pats fan, a Broncos fan, a Cowboys fan, a Rams fan, and a Vikings fan. Shit's nuts. In my opinion, if you have a team in your hometown, what's stopping you from rooting for them, ya know? I feel like it's generally more acceptable if you don't have any teams in your area to branch out and find someone to like. But, if I may ask, why do you like the Eagles so much as opposed to the Steelers?
Also, shoutout to Joey for digging the Royals.

I'm kinda an asshole about this subject so I'm not going to get too into this but I'm in LA and my favorite teams are the Lakers, Dodgers, Ducks, UCLA and kinda the Patriots. Notice a trend? All of the teams arr in LA or the surrounding areas except for my NFL teams which is subject to change. I believe that if you have a team that is within reasonable driving distance there isn't much of a reason ehy you should like another team unless you're from another area. Now, if you don't have say, a basketball team in your area like Cole in Kansas City, then it's kind of acceptable to like a team that's in Houston or Minnesota. I find it's better and easier to like a team that's in your general area because you can go to games and you can actually watch every game on local TV without having to worry about how often your team plays on National TV. That's my two and a half cents, what I just said could've made no sense but it's okay. My mind is all over the place tonight.

It all started when i was like 3 and i saw their logo on a shirt. Thought it was the coolest thing. And as i got older and more into football, the Eagles stuck. My all time favorite players are Brian Dawkins and Donovan McNabb. I know everything there is to know about my Eagles. I will never change teams. #FlyEaglesFly Same goes to my Pirates. I went to the game last night. Sucks that they lost, but 98 wins. Thats huge. #LetsGoBucs Love my teams!

I think it was after they signed Nnamdi and like 18 other huge free agents. I remember going back to Madden 05 and going 16-0 and winning a Super Bowl with them. Terrell Owens, Donovan McNabb, Brian Dawkins, Brian Westbrook. Those dudes killed it.

Part of it was due to the Harden trade, but like I noticed last season that I get all their games on Fox Sports Midwest. I'll probably go back to that bandwagon simply because I can watch them conveniently without a stream. Is that a bad thing?

Jigsaw You're probably asking the wrooooooong person lol. I'm from North Carolina, but root for no professional Carolina teams. I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, opposed to being a Panthers fan. I'm a Miami Heat fan, opposed to being a Hornets fan. I'm a Texas Rangers fan, opposed to being a Braves fan (even if there's no major league baseball team in NC, Braves fans dominate the area). But let me ask you this man. Would you rather watch 16-25 games of a team you like to cheer for from thousands of miles away, or would you rather watch 2-3 games of a local team? Just living in the same place, doesn't make you a better fan. I know people who live like 5 minutes from AT&T Stadium (home of the Cowboys) and they proclaim to be Cowboys fans, but when I start to talk to them about it, they say their favorite player is ... Then they ask me for Dez's name. What makes a good fan is staying loyal through the good and the bad. It matters nothing to me because of location. Especially with the advances in the sports world like NFL Sunday Ticket, where I can watch every Cowboys games every week. NBA League Pass, where I can watch the Heat anytime I want. We live in the 2015 era where the barrier of your location has been broken, and this is one of the few good things of such happening. Be a diehard Eagles fan. Who should care?

Thank you! I just don't see problems with that. Be a fan of who you want. Winning or losing. It doesn't matter. The Eagles and Pirates are always going to be my teams!

I will say Jigsaw, I'm surprised we agree on a sports topic! Thought the day would never arrive...

I'm a better Laker fan than anyone outside of Southern California. And from my experiences, smarter than most here too.

How many people locally claim to be Laker fans, and how many are actually knowledgeable with the team? I'm just saying. A lot of Panther fans here locally will share Panthers' facebook photo of the final score after a win, and they only know of Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, and when he was there, Steve Smith (and they still talk about Steve Smith)... That's about as far as one gets with a local Panthers fan. They couldn't name the starting left tackle to save their life! And don't get me started on the local Hornets fans...

I was joking... for the most part. I hate most Laker fans. Local and otherwise. I can't wait for Kobe to retire so all the fake fans stuck on the bandwagon can fall off. Although, like ALL fanbases there are diehards like myself who know everything and then there are the fair weather fans who don't know all that much. Location doesn't determine knowledge. I'm not going to elaborate on my opinion any further because I know I'm going to offend someone.
