NFL Coaching Carousel
The Denver Broncos were looking at hiring Kyle Shanahan as their next head coach, or at least the possibility of it, but Kyle Shanahan turned Denver down, not wanting to be in the Broncos organization. Denver's now broadened their search, and there's not one specific hire mentioned, but it's been told they've been the second NFL team to reach out to Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly. Kelly was contacted by the Eagles, but said he had no hopes of jumping to the NFL. However, sources are claiming that Brian Kelly is interested in at least an interview.
The Detroit Lions are still firm in Josh McDaniels, but at Media Day in the Super Bowl Week festivities, he said he hasn't interviewed with anyone and is only focused on Super Bowl 50.
The New Orleans Saints have found their head coach of the future! Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter has agreed to coach the Saints. He'll leave Jameis Winston, #1 overall pick of the Buccaneers, to a new OC for his second pro year, which Koetter actually took to the press conference to wish Winston the best of luck, telling him to keep his head up.

NFL Coaching Carousel
The time known as the "Coaching Carousel" has official ended after the final two teams announced who will be at the helm for their football teams in the 2016 season.
The Detroit Lions wanted to hire Josh McDaniels, but after the Patriots failed in Super Bowl 50, he's requested to stay with the Patriots for the upcoming season. This left the Lions in a big hole, but crawled out if it by announcing their own Teryl Austin for the new head coaching spot. Austin was the Lions defensive coordinator in 2015, and will look at the adding responsibility in 2016.
The Denver Broncos were caught by surprise to be in this position back-to-back years, after hiring Gary Kubiak last offseason and then Kubiak's shocking retirement this offseason. They wanted a high-profile coaching name, who could keep them in playoff contention, even after Peyton Manning's retirement. They also wanted a young coach who could be around for many years to come. The Broncos tried luring Kyle Shanahan from Atlanta, who wasn't interested in trying to follow in his father's footsteps at Denver. The Broncos then searched the college ranks by trying to entice Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly to change his mind and give the NFL a shot, but he too shut them down. The Broncos organization was not to be outdone this offseason, however, as the Broncos hired Alabama offensive coordinator, and former coach of the USC Trojans, Lane Kiffin! Lane Kiffin will be making a return to the NFL where he has a 25% winning precentage, 1.25 seasons with the Oakland Raiders organization nearly a decade ago.
The Coaching Carousel is officially over!
Miami Joe Philbin -> interim -> Dan Campbell* Tennessee Ken Whisenhunt -> interim -> Chip Kelly Indianapolis Chuck Pagano -> Sean Payton Philadelphia Chip Kelly -> Hue Jackson New Orleans Sean Payton -> Dirk Koetter Detroit Jim Caldwell -> Teryl Austin Denver Gary Kubiak -> Lane Kiffin
Ken Whisenhunt will be the new Buccaneers offensive coordinator, replacing Dirk Koetter. Jim Caldwell will be the new Bengals offensive coordinator, replacing Hue Jackson. Teryl Austin expects to be the head coach of the Detroit Lions, as well as maintain full control of the defense.
* - Dan Campbell replaced Joe Philbin midseason as interim, going 8-4.

Who won the contest broski with the mostski? You put down 42, and Professor Berch betted 60. The total points was 74 (shoutout to Random.org for such a random score), and so Jon will be getting the draft pick for Philadelphia. I think I'll likely be holding this contest again next season. I know you two are the only ones who've followed this booker, but if others get involved, I'll count them in too. It makes things more fun, I know at least speaking on my behalf.
