I'll be releasing the 2016 NFL Season schedule I made on February 28, 2016... And don't worry, I have already half the season stored up for later, so you'll get this season. I'm also planning on another contest, so stay tuned.

3rd-round draft choice of the Detroit Lions out of Miami, cornerback Artie Burns, has been popped 4 games for a performance-enhancing drug violation. Burns will miss the first 4 regular season games, but be permitted to participate in all offseason and preseason activities as the team sees fit.

The Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters has surprisingly been suspended 4 games for a PED violation. Peters dealt with injuries throughout last season, and has since apologized for his decision making.

NFLI Contest: IIParticipants: Professor Berch , Joey , and anyone else who pays attention to this. So, I just released the 2016 schedule I made, and would like to say that I already have 8 weeks into the season, and I'm looking at the current standings right now in an OneNote document. The contest is, PM me your 4 division winners (there's 8 divisions, you pick the winner of half of your choosing). I'll hold this contest through March 6th, and the winner will get to select one of those teams as an "automatic playoff team", and you'll be sure to see that team in the playoffs that year, if they are currently leading their division. If it's a tie, I'll go in and ask the bonus question... But I will say, if anyone who predicts (somehow) gets 0 correct, I'm not giving the bonus question and you won't pick an APT because you don't deserve it. PM me your 4 division leaders up til Week 8 in the season!

2016 NFL Preseason Notes- As usual, many seasons ended before it actually began for a few players. Notably, Browns DE Malik Jackson, Buccaneers RB Charles Sims, Bills G Richie Incognito, Jets rookie DE Carl Nassib, and 49ers rookie CB Mackensie Alexander among the notables who will miss their first season with their new teams. Plus, Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart and Jaguars RB TJ Yeldon also lost for the year. - With all the season-ending injuries taking place, some other injuries are lost in the shuffle, but not this. While he was playing in the first quarter of the third preseason game, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr broke his collarbone. He'll not require surgery, but he's expected to miss anywhere from the first five weeks of the regular season, to the first nine or ten. They don't want to rush Carr back from injury too soon, as it's a delicate one for a quarterback, so Matt McGloin will be the starter going forward. The Raiders picked up Dan Orlovsky after the injury transpired, and Orlovsky's going to be the backup plan. - Some notable cuts were made during the preseason. Browns WR Josh Gordon, trying to come back from his year-long suspension, was one of the more notables. Others include Antrel Rolle and DeAngelo Hall. All three of these are heeded into the regular season without a home to play ball. - There was several quarterback competitions this preseason. Here are the starting quarterbacks for every team entering Week 1: TEAM | STARTER | SECOND-STRING | NOTABLE THIRDS | Buffalo | Tyrod Taylor | EJ Manuel | Trevone Boykin | Miami | Ryan Tannehill | Logan Thomas |

Injury Updates
WR Odell Beckham Jr. suffered an injury similar to Dez Bryant's of last season. The Giants wideout is expected to miss at least 6 weeks.
Another injury to the wide receivers, is Titans own Dorial Green-Beckham. He broke his arm in the 4th quarter of an overtime loss to the rival Colts. He's going to miss at least the next 6 weeks as well, possibly more.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is going to enter the league concussion protocol after a big hit on Sunday Night Football.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan tweaked his ankle late in the road loss to the Rams. Sean Renfree got one pass attempt off, and that was an interception that closed out the game and Atlanta's first defeat of the regular season. Dan Quinn reported it looked worse than initially expected and they're preparing on starting Renfree in week three, and then go from there.

Injury Updates
Browns QB Sam Bradford was injured in the Giants game, and it appears he's got a highly sprained ankle. His return is unknown, but he'll definitely be missing the next few weeks for the winless Cleveland team. Rookie Connor Cook will step in for Bradford during his absence, with Johnny Manziel now the man on the edge of his seat.
Another quarterback went down last week with the Houston Texans in the 37-10 home loss for the Chiefs. Brian Hoyer has a torn rotator cuff that'll sideline him for the rest of the year. Houston is 2-1 and are hosting Super Bowl 51 this year, so hopefully Brock Osweiler is the man to bring them there. The Texans play the winless Raiders this week in Oakland, and the Texans have already went ahead and signed TJ Yates back to the team.
Tavon Austin's year is done, suffering a torn ACL while in the Rams uniform. St. Louis is 3-0, tied at the top of the NFC West with the Seahawks, and the Rams host division rival 49ers this week.
