After winning their 17th NBA Championship back in 2008, the Celtics were continuing that success early on in the following year, beginning with a 27-2 mark. However, an injury to Kevin Garnett quickly derailed this team, and kept them from advancing further in the 2009 NBA Playoffs, losing to the Orlando Magic in the second round in seven games, dropping Games 6 and 7 to the Howard-led Magic. General Manager Danny Ainge expressed his disappointment, yet understood with the circumstances. Ainge promised that the Celtics want their 18th title, but more importantly, be an established team for years to come. Now, Ainge has to eat those words.

Very interesting, curious as to where you got the roster from? I just googled Boston Celtics 2008-09 Roster, and went to their Wikipedia page. Of course, I went through the offseason last night and made some moves... I'm beginning with the 2009-10 season, doing the games. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008%E2%80%9309_Boston_Celtics_season#Roster

Total: 33-12 (Home: 18-3; Road: 15-9)NOTES: Ray Allen had unexpected knee problems arise and missed the final seven games of the month, team being 4-3 in those games. There's no timetable for Allen's return. Kendrick Perkins missed the January 10th and 11th games with a thumb injury. Instead of starting Eddy Curry, they moved Garnett to the 5 and started Glen Davis instead. Mike Miller was getting turns at small forward until Ray began missing games. Reason being was the team feels there should always be an Allen on the floor, Ray or Tony.
