Diary of a Wimpy Kid comes out with a spin-off... Diary of a Wrestling Fan!!


I was originally going to keep this in my own Iron Asylum, but instead I'll be doing it in a board that is more fitting.

So I'm going to make it my mission to watch every Raw, Impact, NXT, SmackDown, and ROH each week.

I wonder how long this lasts, and if it does, which wrestling show I watch the longest into 2016... I'll be keeping track of what I watch, and how much I enjoyed it as well.

Thanks to Cole, I was able to finish Wrestle Kingdom 10, as well as watch NJPW's New Year Dash event... EPICNESS!!

Looking forward to watching WWE's SmackDown, as they move to the USA channel tonight, and get 2 title matches there... I'll be adding that to my Diary once I'm finished watching it.

When it comes to TNA and SmackDown's new networks, they're pretty much even. One lacked in match quality (TNA) and the other lacked in moments (SD).. Pinkie Up for both, but both shows make me want to watch next week.

I'm going to assume you're asking about NXT being on national television instead of SmackDown?? If this is the case, bad idea for the WWE, and here's why...

When it comes to Vince McMahon, it comes down to the money. Why give away the NXT product for free? I know quite a few people whose only reason for the WWE Network is NXT itself. They don't care about the main roster product anymore, but they're willing to spend a special price of $9.99 a month to watch the NXT brand. Quite special if you ask me!

From where Vince lost money with the WWE Network, lessening each PPV by $50 or more, and I'm sure DVD revenue's went down as well, then he has to have SOMETHING on the WWE Network that will draw some extra money, and that's where NXT comes in. NXT is amazingly getting the buzz by Network subscribers itself on social media, and that's making others say "I wanna check this out, lemme get a 30-day free trial", and then they want to see the Takeover event, and they're hooked.


Honestly, it's a brilliant setup for Vince... And the reason this question was brought up speaks volumes. Would you pay the money to go watch NXT or SmackDown on the WWE Network? If NXT is your choice, then we have our answer.

I didn't really intend on making this a Q&A, just a little bit where I keep how much wrestling I watch and what I think of it... BUT I LIKE THAT! DO YOU LIKE THAT? I LIKE THAT!!

FINALLY got done watching TNA One Night Only from Friday! I came away impressed and gave it a thumbs up. The show had its spots and moments, and the X-Division title, the TNA Tag titles, and the main event tag with Beer Money were the best part of the show. There were a couple matches that could've been done on TNA Impact rather than a PPV, but for TNA, fairly good show! A thousand times better than Slammiversary, which was the last PPV of TNA's I watched.

I might get attacked by every ROH mark here, but the 1/9 episode I rated "No Fingers", which is the lowest I've rated a show this year. So with the expectation of the angry mob, I'll go ahead and state why I personally (remember these are all my personal opinions) didn't think it was great...

Basically, I didn't hate the show. There were a couple nice matches, but I could've went without seeing any of it. The crowd was into it, but I just went through the hour. After the first half of the show, I was like "They better step it up", and then their main event just couldn't rise the show up.

So "No Fingers" rating isn't bad here. Again, I could've went without seeing it and be fine.




BUT!! Looking forward to next week's Philly Street Fight between reDRagon, The Young Bucks, and The Kingdom's Adam Cole and Michael Bennett!! I'm sure that show, if it has another solid match, will be rated higher.

Remember when I rated ROH the worst show of the year today? LOL, didn't take too long for them to be bumped up.

Watched Raw tonight and must I say, VERY disappointed I wasted 2 hours of my life (only because I fast forwarded through commercials) by watching that. I felt deflated midway through the show, with the only match worth watching was Dean Ambrose and Sheamus, which didn't end decisively. The tag match with New Day and Usos was alright, and so was Del Rio and Kalisto if you can get past the botching. Then the main event was abysmal, as the "One versus All" turned into Roman Reigns versus Kevin Owens, a dozen superstars attacking Reigns, and Brock Lesnar bulldozing through The New Day.

2 Thumbs Down for Raw... YIKES! Major letdown from last week's Raw.

Four of the Seven matches ended in an indecisive finish, including the opening match and main event. And only one match was ended with a finisher (Titus O'Neil beating Stardust in under 4 minutes).

Just to let the people who follow this know, last week and this weekend, I literally had no time to sit down and watch wrestling. However, I plan on watching a lot!

Impact, NXT, SmackDown, and ROH still need to be covered, as well as Raw tonight. This may be divided into the next 2 or 3 days, which would have to include some of this week's shows as well, but I'm sure it can be done.

I got my first NR show!! The thing that happened with ROH was I watched a little bit of it while my sister was puking. I dozed off from time-to-time and it got deleted off before I had an opportunity to go back and watch.

So I didn't rate it, considering I didn't want to give it a bad rap due to the circumstances.

Even with the second-straight main event ending without a decision, I'd rate the last SmackDown a thumbs up. Really enjoyed it!! Plus, Del Rio's time at Lucha Underground paid off well, because his match with Kalisto was amazing.
