What led to Payback? In the main event at Extreme Rules, Randy Orton decided to reappear after his loss to The Rock at WrestleMania 29, and he costed The Rock a chance at becoming world champion once again. Randy Orton said as long as he's around, The Rock will never be champion again, suggesting the best bet is to go back to Hollywood. The Rock responded that this all needs to go away, the animosity between the two, and it's at Payback, where The Rock looks to get his against The Viper. Confirmed Match: Randy Orton vs. The RockAfter Orton got involved in his match, WWE Champion CM Punk's innocent change hasn't been bought, even if he swears he had nothing to do with it, but many don't believe him with his antics in the past. CM Punk made good on his promise to not use weapons, though he was tempted, but mainly took chair shots to the head like The Rock once did to Mankind during the Attitude Era. However, the next one in line for CM Punk had to be determined. Vickie said she might just give the title shot to someone who just got done as World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio! CM Punk was the clear fan-favorite in this rivalry, but Del Rio seemed to benefit from the world title experience, as he was always one step ahead on Punk the whole month leading up to Payback. Confirmed Match: CM Punk(c) vs. Alberto Del Rio for the WWE ChampionshipDolph Ziggler finally cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in on the World Heavyweight Champion, waiting 308 days to elapse and for Chris Jericho to go through the longest match of the night. Ziggler would take advantage of his opportunity and become World Heavyweight Champion right then and there. Chris Jericho's life wasn't only miserable because he was no longer World Heavyweight Champion after a very short-lived reign, but also he was no competitor in the numbers game, being outnumbered by Team Rhodes Scholars and Raw's Vickie Guerrero. Fortunately, Jericho had Booker T and Teddy Long in his corner, so SmackDown evened the odds out some. Chris Jericho's decided to use his rematch clause for Payback, but Ziggler's focused in on beating Jericho last summer in Jericho's final match of 2012, and then beating him at Extreme Rules for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Dolph fears he doesn't need to open the phone book for Chris Jericho's number. Confirmed Match: Dolph Ziggler(c) vs. Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight ChampionshipWith nobody seeming to beat Team Hell No, they needed some new challengers to step up to the plate. Daniel Bryan realized that, and brought up the fact that he and Kane were just thrown together and it's worked, so the night after Extreme Rules he challenged any two men who hadn't tagged with each other to get themselves in a match with them, and if they could beat Bryan and Kane, they'd get their title shots. The tandem of Kassius Ohno and Santino Marella failed, and so did Sin Cara and Yoshi Tatsu, as well as Heath Slater and JTG. They all failed, and Daniel Bryan had the brilliant(?) idea that maybe he and Kane need more problems for someone to top them. Kane said it's crazy, but Bryan was convinced. Bryan would then attack Kane in a singles match versus Jey Uso, pushing him over the edge to have this "friendly" match against Bryan at Payback. Confirmed Match: Daniel Bryan vs. KaneWith The Shield falling short of gaining the tag titles at Extreme Rules, Rollins and Ambrose rallied behind their United States Champion Roman Reigns, who was being sought out by Sheamus. Sheamus would be a recipient of beatdowns, but Antonio Cesaro would be there to help. Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus would form a bond with common hatred versus The Shield, and Antonio would accompany Sheamus to his United States Championship match on a Raw. After Rollins jumped Sheamus moments from him being crowned new champion, and Ambrose attacking Cesaro on the outside, a six-man tag was made for Payback. Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro said they were so confident in themselves, they wouldn't need a third man, and would accept a handicap match instead. The Shield laughed at the stupidity, while they used the remaining time before Payback to take advantage of the numbers, which they feed off of. Confirmed Match: Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus vs. The Shield in a 2-on-3 Handicap MatchNatalya had won the Divas Championship at WrestleMania, she downed Kaitlyn's rematch clause at Extreme Rules, and now the new champion was going to settle in to new competition. However, Kaitlyn wasn't going to allow it. Kaitlyn wanted to still avenge for her friend AJ Lee, who is sidelined with a broken arm. Kaitlyn was told by Vickie if she was going to want another shot at Natalya, she'll have to win a triple threat match. Kaitlyn would go on to defeat Alicia Fox and Naomi in that match to go on and face Natalya, but the celebration was short lived with an attack by the Divas Champion. Kaitlyn would return the favor, attacking the Divas Champion, and making sure Natalya knows it's go-time at Payback. Confirmed Match: Natalya(c) vs. Kaitlyn for the Divas ChampionshipRey Mysterio would get his ankle snapped by Jack Swagger in the Patriot Lock and miss WrestleMania because of it. This month, Mysterio returned to action, and didn't forget who put him on the shelf, and Mysterio got himself a piece of Swagger. The two are set to due battle at Payback, as Mysterio looks to get his on Jack Swagger, making the Master of the 619 miss the biggest event of the year. Confirmed Match: Jack Swagger vs. Rey MysterioOnce Big Show finished Wade Barrett off at Extreme Rules, he was immediately targeted by Ted DiBiase Jr. The problem was, Ted hadn't earned himself a title shot by no means, especially since he lost on the Extreme Rules Preshow in a First Blood Match. Ted DiBiase Jr would attack the Big Show and lay him unconscious on SmackDown, and a week later he was granted a #1 Contenders Match, beating former Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston and earning the right to face Big Show for the title. However, Ted DiBiase Jr would not get off easy, as Big Show returned the favor and would lay out his new #1 contender. Confirmed Match: Big Show(c) vs. Ted DiBiase Jr for the Intercontinental Championship

Damn Cesaro is mainly fighting in random tag team matches? Also the preshow match for Payback sounds quite horrible what did Ohno do wrong to get stuck with Santino? Other than that it's an easy read and good to follow mate.

He must have fucked and chucked Steph or something so Vince is pissed because he debuted in an Elimination Chamber match for a shot at the title at Mania now he's pre-show tag teaming with Santino lmao

I might keep Cara and Tatsu together, considering they won. But I don't secretly hate Kassius or anything. Ohno, that's not it!

What led to Money in the Bank?In the main event at Payback, The Rock was looking to defeat Randy Orton and finally get his fair chance at CM Punk's WWE Championship. Instead, when the referee went down, so did Rock's hopes. We saw the return of "The Game" Triple H, retying his Evolution bond, and he smashed a sledgehammer over the head of Rock, and Orton took the cover. This would lead to a match between heel Randy Orton, and babyface WWE Champion CM Punk. After Triple H explained his actions the night after Payback, he said he'll leave the rest up to Randy Orton, wishing him all the best to beat CM Punk. Then the Monday before Money in the Bank, Triple H reappeared to help pummel the champ before Sunday. Confirmed Match: CM Punk(c) vs. Randy Orton (with Triple H) for the WWE ChampionshipAfter his failure to recapture the World Heavyweight Championship at Payback, Chris Jericho opened up SmackDown with a promo of how he invented the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and if it was okay with Booker T and Teddy Long, he'd like to be the first to enter his name into the "SmackDown's" Money in the Bank Ladder Match, where the winner would go on to have a World Heavyweight Championship match in the future. Wade Barrett would ask for this opportunity as well, but with his differences against Booker T, Wade's entry into this Money in the Bank Ladder Match would come at a hefty price. If Wade Barrett were to lose, he'd be banished from SmackDown. The other four spots would be filled in tag team matches, suggested by the one and only Teddy Long, as Jack Swagger and Ted DiBiase Jr would join forces to try and take out Sin Cara and Yoshi Tatsu, but they were majorly upset! The other tag team match would feature Team Rhodes Scholars versus Team Hell No, and Sandow and Rhodes emerged victorious, to not only secure themselves in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but as per the request of World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, keep Daniel Bryan and Kane out as well. This Money in the Bank Ladder Match is most likely for the World Heavyweight Championship, since Booker T and SmackDown hold its rights. Confirmed Match: Chris Jericho vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow vs. Sin Cara vs. Wade Barrett vs. Yoshi Tatsu in the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder MatchWith Dolph Ziggler on the top of the world one year after he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, he was then in control of everything with Vickie Guerrero as an earpiece on Raw and he has a capable tag team, who can also be nice handymen, and he had just scared Chris Jericho off into a 6-man ladder match. Dolph Ziggler arrived on a Friday Night to SmackDown, however, and Booker T dropped the bomb on him that he'll be wrestling a former world champion at Money in the Bank, but Booker T decided to withhold the information from Ziggler as to who it would be. For the remaining time, Dolph Ziggler tried every antic he could to find out who he'd be wrestling, from getting Vickie Guerrero and Team Rhodes Scholars to ask Booker T or Teddy Long, to seeking through his desk (led to a 1-on-2 handicap match with the tag champs), and even hiring a private investigator into the matter. Through all this effort, Dolph Ziggler still has no idea who he'll be defending the World Heavyweight title against. Confirmed Match: Dolph Ziggler defends his World Heavyweight ChampionshipLikely one of the more enticing Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, Vickie Guerrero decided to let Raw settle their spots out with singles matches. One by one; Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro, Drew McIntyre, Kassius Ohno, Sheamus, and Tyson Kidd all qualified. In this process, Antonio Cesaro even beat Dean Ambrose to get in this match, finally getting one over on The Shield. On the final episode of Raw, a 6-man tag ended in the referee throwing out the chaos, and after the match had to be thrown out, we began introducing ladders. At the end of all the mess, Alberto Del Rio symbolically climbed up the ladder, shouting his superiority over the others in the match, and he'll be walking out Mr. Money in the Bank. This Money in the Bank Ladder Match is most likely for the WWE Championship, since Vickie Guerrero and Raw hold its rights. Confirmed Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kassius Ohno vs. Sheamus vs. Tyson Kidd in the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder MatchWorld Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, in all the chaos surrounding his life recently, decided to show his heart and show some gratitude towards Team Rhodes Scholars for being such a great help. Ziggler asked how he could repay them, and they were quick in responding to getting them a tag title match again, though the problem is Team Hell No had to lose their titles before they could challenge for the championships. Dolph said he'd talk to Vickie and let them know, and then Vickie Guerrero submitted the match that Team Hell No would be defending their WWE Tag Team Championships against The Shield's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Team Rhodes Scholars weren't so pleased at facing The Shield if they do dethrone Kane and Bryan, but Dolph Ziggler calmed them down. Nonetheless, Team Rhodes Scholars plans to be front row for the match if they're able to. But the real question is, can Daniel Bryan and Kane coexist? That is what helped lead to them not contending for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and Daniel Bryan didn't take his loss to Kane at Payback very well. Confirmed Match: Team Hell No(c) vs. The Shield's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the WWE Tag Team ChampionshipsWWE Divas Champion was more than confident, that after beating Kaitlyn, she extended for anyone to come up next and challenge. There Alicia Fox, Layla, and Tamina Snuka all stepped up to the plate, and Natalya accepted a chance to beat them in a Fatal 4 Way at Money in the Bank. Through singles competition, Natalya swept through all of them, but when Natalya's opponents banded together and was placed in a 1-on-3 handicap match, all caught up to Natalya. This was the final scene between these divas, as the three realized at Sunday they'd be opponents as well. Confirmed Match: Natalya(c) vs. Alicia Fox vs. Layla vs. Tamina Snuka for the Divas ChampionshipJack Swagger would refocus his attention on Rey Mysterio after Mysterio was the one to assist Sin Cara and Yoshi Tatsu in their big win. Jack Swagger would assault Rey Mysterio afterwards, but Rey would fight back before the Pay-Per-View, and they've made the match a Ladder one, and to make up for Rey Mysterio likely costing Jack Swagger a shot at becoming World Heavyweight Champion once again, Booker T decided to make this a #1 contenders match for the World Heavyweight Championship. The winner of this will wrestle the World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam, and if Ziggler loses, it likely may be a Triple Threat!! Confirmed Match: Jack Swagger vs. Rey Mysterio in a Ladder Match for the #1 Contendership to the World Heavyweight ChampionshipIntercontinental Champion Big Show was doing fine, until for some reason, The Shield attacked him after the night following Payback. Understanding why, Roman Reigns said he was the better of the two champions. Big Show told Roman if he wanted to prove it, they can decide at Money in the Bank. Without hesitating, Roman Reigns accepted to this non-title, champion versus champion contest. Each would then go to successfully defend their titles in the buildup, but the loser of this match will have to put their title on the line in a Six-Pack Challenge on Raw tomorrow. Confirmed Match: Big Show vs. Roman Reigns in a Non-Title, Champion versus Champion MatchA mini-feud between Santino Marella and JTG would break out, all stemming from JTG dumping Santino to the floor during Payback's preshow match, and Santino had to leave his partner Kassius Ohno during the match because of a lower-leg injury. Santino would return and target JTG, blaming him for such, and that he'll pay for what he did. Confirmed Match: JTG vs. Santino Marella

News sites after Money in the Bank confirmed two new signings to WWE's main roster: - Jeff Jarrett, who owned TNA and was apart of the company up until earlier this year. - Big E Langston, who was the man from WWE's developmental grounds NXT and aided in the attack on The Shield's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. It's unknowing if he'll go by the same name in NXT or a different one, considering the commentary team didn't acknowledge his NXT ring name.

BREAKING!!
On the July 5th episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns had to defend his United States Championship in a 6-Pack Challenge. He'd defend against Intercontinental Champion Big Show, Santino Marella, David Otunga, Brodus Clay, and Ryback.
After winning the 6-Pack Challenge with an assist from his buddies that also costed The Shield's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose the tag team titles, David Otunga would cut a promo with Alex Riley, Justin Gabriel, Michael McGillicutty, and the man Otunga announced as Big E by his side. Otunga said Alex Riley was a blue chipper when breaking into the business, Justin Gabriel's trust comes from within Nexus, Michael McGillicutty is a third-generation superstar, and everyone will be amazed at the things Big E can do in the ring. David Otunga said they were reforming the Nexus, and now that they've taken the title from Roman Reigns, they'll look to be the most dominant faction in WWE history.

What led to SummerSlam 2013?After Randy Orton left Money in the Bank without the WWE Championship, Triple H began pulling his family ties with Vickie Guerrero to intimidate Vickie. Triple H also said that with Booker T's future uncertain, he could get Vickie a better job if she booked SummerSlam right. This was enough to con Vickie Guerrero into making a WWE Championship rematch at SummerSlam between CM Punk and Randy Orton. Vickie added that to make sure there's no outside interference like last time, she's putting this main event inside the Steel Cage!! This is exactly what Orton and Triple H wanted, and at the go-home Raw episode, they even lowered the cage and tried trapping CM Punk in there with a sledgehammer in their possession. The Rock would slide in and prevent the attack going any further, however. Confirmed Match: CM Punk(c) vs. Randy Orton in a Steel Cage for the WWE ChampionshipThe Rock returned to the WWE eleven months after his victory over John Cena at WrestleMania 28, and he put himself instantly into the title picture for the WWE Championship. The Rock finally had "The Viper" Randy Orton in his way this entire time, and the moment The Rock finally thought he had Orton finished with, Triple H had come out and cost The Rock not only vengeance towards Randy Orton, but another shot at the WWE Championship of CM Punk. Randy Orton's title match came and as it came to a close and everyone felt CM Punk was going to lose the title with Triple H's help, The Rock returned and used it to cost Randy Orton what Orton cost him so many times, the WWE Championship. Triple H, now advocating for Randy Orton and his career, feels The Rock keeps getting in Randy Orton's way. Thus Triple H asked for a match versus The Rock at SummerSlam, and it was accepted, but The Rock had a condition in this acceptance speech... If The Rock would beat Triple H, he'd get himself inserted into the Steel Cage WWE Championship Match at the end of the night between champion CM Punk and of course, Randy Orton. Confirmed Match: Triple H vs. The RockThe night after Money in the Bank, Paul Heyman made his return! Heyman hadn't been seen since WrestleMania where he sided against CM Punk, but Punk was able to be victorious in the process. Paul Heyman said he had brought a new client to the WWE, and they might have seen him last night, as he introduced Jeff Jarrett! Jarrett came out and began thanking Paul Heyman, and explaining why he was in the WWE, feeling the place was left unconquered. At the word, Brock Lesnar's music hit and Jeff Jarrett was confused, but Heyman convinced him Lesnar's only here to show his support. Lesnar would come down and have a handshake offered to him by Jeff Jarrett, but only staring at it, and using the hand extension to get him on his back for an F-5!! Brock Lesnar would lay out Jeff Jarrett while Heyman shot him the bird, falling in perfect line for the trap. Heyman would use the following weeks to taunt Jeff Jarrett, saying he'd never manage someone as low-standard as Jeff Jarrett was. Confirmed Match: Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman vs. Jeff JarrettAfter defeating the returning Jeff Jarrett at Money in the Bank, World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler didn't have to look too far for his next mountain to climb, or hill, because Rey Mysterio won a Ladder match earlier in the night to become the #1 contender for the world title. Dolph Ziggler would have his army crash upon Rey Mysterio, and Mysterio didn't seem to get much help from anyone except Sin Cara and Yoshi Tatsu, but Team Rhodes Scholars would take care of them easily. Rey Mysterio is the clear underdog in this match, but he's been starred in the underdog role his whole life! Confirmed Match: Dolph Ziggler(c) vs. Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight ChampionshipAfter winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, Wade Barrett felt he had all the power and was on top of the world. Shortly after winning the briefcase, Wade Barrett threatened Booker T's job. Booker T still tried to make his life miserable, and Booker T even played with Wade's mind, saying if he was so tough and deserving of the briefcase, how about he put it on the line at SummerSlam. Booker would be stunned when Wade Barrett said he would, but if he won, then Booker would be fired from SmackDown as the general manger. Booker T refused, but Wade Barrett came back the next SmackDown with approval from Vincent Kennedy McMahon himself. Wade Barrett told him to find his best guy, and he'll defend against him at SummerSlam... Booker T would then later name Barrett's opponent, and the one who could potentially walk out of SummerSlam with the briefcase in hand, Kofi Kingston, a personal favorite of Booker T's since he came back to the WWE in the first place. After learning of his opponent, Wade Barrett tried to sway the loyalty of Teddy Long, offering him the new General Manager spot if he made sure Kofi Kingston wouldn't be there on Sunday, but Teddy refused... Until later that night, the go-home episode of SmackDown, Kofi Kingston was taken out of the arena in handcuffs, with Teddy Long there claiming one of the divas stepped forward and accused Kofi of sexual assault, and Teddy would announce at that moment that Kofi's been indefinitely suspended. Now, Booker T must find a new opponent for SummerSlam while this legal matter's sorted out. Confirmed Match: Wade Barrett vs. ? for the Money in the Bank BriefcaseDolph Ziggler, much appreciative of the help of Team Rhodes Scholars, still said he intends on getting them another tag title shot. Dolph Ziggler said he talked to Vickie Guerrero and that The Shield's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose would be getting another opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Championships. This all seemed good, until Booker T got involved and used the authority he still has to not only make it to where The Usos would be apart of it too, as that tag team returns after a long, long hiatus! Six nights before SummerSlam, Vickie Guerrero would then be approached by United States Champion David Otunga, the leader of Nexus. Otunga would persuade the business side of her to make it a four-way tag, with Michael McGillicutty and Justin Gabriel representing Nexus. Vickie liked this, and accepted before even talking to Dolph Ziggler, who when he found out, was highly irritated that she'd add so many tag teams, it wouldn't end well. Confirmed Match: Team Hell No(c) vs. The Shield vs. The Usos vs. Nexus for the WWE Tag Team ChampionshipsDavid Otunga wanted to make it Nexus' sole mission for having The Shield not only second-best in all the WWE, but one day rotted away as well. David Otunga was the one to say he'd like Roman's rematch to take place at SummerSlam, which Reigns agreed to. This Shield versus Nexus rivalry got a whole lot better, but not quite even, as Reigns' boys will be competing for the tag titles, and Otunga says he'll be bringing the rest of his crew to the ring with him at SummerSlam, turning the tables on Roman Reigns who must overcome the numbers game that lives on the outside. Confirmed Match: David Otunga(c) w/Alex Riley and Big E vs. Roman Reigns for the United States ChampionshipDuring the Six-Pack Challenge on Raw for the United States Championship, Ryback and the Intercontinental Champion Big Show left ringside, as the two powerhouses would battle away from the ring, with total disregard to the match and the scenery. This would then lead to outdoing the other in everything, until Big Show finally got on the stick and told Ryback he's nothing compared to the large legend in this business, self-proclaiming that fact for himself. Big Show said if he thought he could prove him wrong, he'll face him at SummerSlam and even put the title on the line. Ryback wouldn't hesitate to accept, but should've thought of it first, because Big Show would lay Ryback out afterwards, leading up to the big summer event. The commentary team would even announce that this Intercontinental Championship match would be a Falls Count Anywhere, likely considering their brawl on the July 15th edition of Raw. Confirmed Match: Big Show(c) vs. Ryback in a Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Intercontinental ChampionshipWhen Natalya would defeat three other women, there's really nothing for her to do, is there?... Until the return of AJ LEE!! AJ came back from a broken arm and recognized the target on Natalya as the Divas Champion, but also as the one who put her out of action for all this time. AJ Lee said not only did she recover 100%, but she's spent extra time recovering, getting stronger and with every intention of taking the title away from Natalya. AJ Lee, going into SummerSlam, would gain the support of Kaitlyn, who AJ supported earlier in the year. Kaitlyn plans on being in AJ's corner at SummerSlam, a privilege AJ never got to do for Kaitlyn with her broken arm. Confirmed Match: Natalya(c) vs. AJ Lee w/Kaitlyn for the Divas ChampionshipSheamus would enter into a small feud with Kassius Ohno, not respecting Ohno like Kassius wanted. Sheamus would say there's no hard feelings, but Kassius Ohno isn't on his level, and there was no reason that Kassius Ohno should've even been in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match a month ago. Kassius Ohno was very persistent until Sheamus agreed to fight him on Sunday. This is likely going to be the preshow match for SummerSlam. Confirmed Match: Kassius Ohno vs. Sheamus

With Team Hell No's reign ending at SummerSlam 2013 on August the 18th, Daniel Bryan and Kane's reign on top together ended at 336 days, beating the previous longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history, Paul London and Brian Kendrick which lasted 331.

What led to Night of Champions? The night after SummerSlam, CM Punk was delivering a speech to the crowd, but The Rock wasn't having it, still saying that CM Punk has never pinned him one-on-one. The fans seemed to love The Rock's idea of one-on-one at Night of Champions, until Triple H came out with the man he's supporting now, Randy Orton. Triple H says that Randy Orton has much of a claim to the WWE Championship as Rock. This led to Vickie Guerrero making a blockbuster match on Raw that night, The Rock versus Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match. The Rock would lay Orton out, and Triple H intervened and hit a Pedigree on The Rock, onto the steel chair. The referee would count, but Orton struggled to make it cleanly to his feet, as he stumbled and the referee counted ten. Vickie would come out and say since it's a draw, CM Punk will defend his title against multiple men... The Rock, Randy Orton, AND TRIPLE H, in a fatal 4-way elimination match! Triple H was stunned at the announcement, and pleaded to Orton this wasn't his plan, which Randy now sees Triple H as shady. They would eventually get on the same page in their book and decide they'll team up to make sure CM Punk nor The Rock leave as WWE Champion. It was declared however if CM Punk was able to escape with 25% chance on retaining his WWE Championship, he would then be left alone by the others, who have been gunning for his title one way or another all year. Confirmed Match: CM Punk(c) vs. Randy Orton vs. The Rock vs. Triple H in a Fatal-4 Way Elimination Match for the WWE ChampionshipWade Barrett, after beating Booker T and getting him fired at SummerSlam, had the privilege of naming the next SmackDown General Manager, which all expected to be Teddy Long on how he helped Kofi Kingston get arrested. Wade would throw a curveball and say that William Regal, from SmackDown's announce team, was the new GM! William Regal was excited, but when Wade Barrett got to the back, he delivered the bad news to Teddy, who felt he was dirtily played by Wade Barrett. Wade would say he filed false charges on Kofi Kingston with the police, which the WWE board didn't approve of, and neither will the cops... Wade told Teddy he was FIRED, as Barrett felt he had all the power right now. Wade Barrett, however, would be knocked off his high horse, as he was attacked one Friday Night by Kofi Kingston, the man who was wrongly accused of sexual assault. This would lead to a match with Kofi Kingston at Night of Champions, but Wade has another obstacle in his way, as the WWE board decided to compensate Booker T, replacing William Regal on commentary. Will Booker T be a distraction to Wade Barrett? Confirmed Match: Kofi Kingston vs. Wade BarrettWith Wade Barrett being on his good side, he would torment Dolph Ziggler, saying he's coming for the World Heavyweight Championship sooner than he thinks, and Vickie doesn't have nothing on William Regal. Dolph Ziggler would stick Team Rhodes Scholars on him, of course. But who would step up as the #1 contender right now for the world title? Sheamus! Sheamus had went from preshowing with a rookie still trying to get his feet wet in the WWE ring, Kassius Ohno, to winning a battle royal on SmackDown for the new #1 contender spot. Dolph Ziggler would get his boys to attack Sheamus as well, and would use his Raw ties to get Sheamus into ridiculous and sticky situations. The only problem was Sheamus overcame every obstacle thrown at him, and he has all the momentum right now. Confirmed Match: Dolph Ziggler(c) vs. Sheamus for the World Heavyweight ChampionshipEver since the Nexus returned, they've had their number on The Shield, and David Otunga even stripped the United States Championship from Roman Reigns in a Six-Pack Challenge. There was even a short amount of time at SummerSlam that Nexus held the United States Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championships, until Roman Reigns got one for The Shield and regained the United States Championship. Now with Reigns beating Otunga in singles action, Roman Reigns now has to give Otunga a rematch he's entitled to. This will mean that the two combatants will go head-to-head at Night of Champions! The only difference between SummerSlam and this event, is no ringside help for either one, which has been made clear by the higher-ups. Confirmed Match: Roman Reigns(c) vs. David Otunga for the United States ChampionshipDaniel Bryan and Kane were the greatest tag team for eleven months, holding the WWE Tag Team Championships for a record-high 336 days, before the team lost it in a match with three other teams, and with neither of them being pinned, you'd think they'd be starving for a rematch. The only problem was, Daniel Bryan blamed Kane for the loss, until Kane hung over Daniel's head that the last time the two met in singles action, Kane was the one victorious. This would cause Daniel Bryan to snap and they'd forfeit their tag team title shot six nights before they were set to due battle with Justin Gabriel and Michael McGillicutty of Nexus, and they'd instead enter a singles match with each other at Night of Champions. Confirmed Match: Daniel Bryan vs. KaneIn the Nexus-Shield rivalry, this also includes the WWE Tag Team Championships, which the Nexus rightfully gained at SummerSlam. However, the Nexus owes Team Hell No for a rematch, after breaking the longest reign atop the tag team division. The team of Justin Gabriel and Michael McGillicutty were scheduled to defend their newly won titles against the former champions, except Daniel Bryan finally snapped on Kane on Raw, turning on his tag team partner, and they forfeited their tag title rematch. This would mean a new team had to step up. Of course, The Shield's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose wanted a shot at Nexus, and wanted to take their titles away too. But Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes, who have been trying to scheme and slither their way back into the tag title picture, they had a rebuttal for The Shield. Instead of having the two teams duke it out 48 hours before the PPV, William Regal simply made this a triple threat tag. And in addition, he's even made this a ladder match! Confirmed Match: Justin Gabriel and Michael McGillicutty(c) vs. The Shield vs. Team Rhodes Scholars in a Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team ChampionshipsAfter losing to Natalya, AJ Lee was so upset, but the worst heartbreak she had was when her best friend Kaitlyn turned on her at SummerSlam, shocking the entire world as to why. Kaitlyn said when she needed AJ Lee by her side against Natalya, she was never there for her, disregarding the fact she had her arm broken. Kaitlyn said she never received a text or a call from AJ once after losing her Divas Championship, and that AJ's only wanted the spotlight on herself, and always wanted the Divas Championship to herself. AJ Lee would attack Kaitlyn during this, emotionally upset, and the two would exchange attacks leading up to Night of Champions, where it's set to be on like Donkey Kong! Confirmed Match: AJ Lee vs. KaitlynAfter a Falls Count Anywhere match with Ryback where he emerged victorious, Big Show had another big challenge step into his way, the "World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. These two would have to due battle again with their rich history as rivals, and Mark Henry was definitely gunning for the Intercontinental Championship that Big Show has been proudly carrying since WrestleMania 29. These two Goliaths go to war at Night of Champions to see who's the most destructive and strongest force in the WWE's history. Confirmed Match: Big Show(c) vs. Mark Henry for the Intercontinental ChampionshipNatalya would be so unsure of who to face next, as she's basically been through everyone already, but Brodus Clay would interrupt Natalya's disrespectful and trashing promo on the divas division. Brodus Clay said he's been training with someone and he believes she is ready, and out came Naomi. Natalya laughed at Naomi, who came out with the rest of Tons of Funk, and Natalya said she had to prove herself first. Naomi grabbed the microphone from Brodus Clay and said she'll face anyone in the back with the right to challenge her, and Natalya laughed again. Natalya said it isn't about beating anyone in the back, but it's about beating her. Right then, Naomi would defeat Natalya, ensuring herself a Divas Championship match at Night of Champions! Confirmed Match: Natalya(c) vs. Naomi w/Tons of Funk for the Divas Championship
