September 2016 - West Division
The Vancouver Rain surprisingly faltered a bit in the closing month of the first ever NBL Canada season finished with an 8-7 record to bring their final record to 30-15, claiming a playoff spot. Their Player of the Month was once again D'Angelo Russell.
The London Lightning picked it up after acquiring Ryan Augustine at the deadline and finished the month with a 10-5 record to bring their final record to 26-19. Their Player of the Month was Ryan Augustine.
The Windsor Express picked up the pace in September finishing the month with a record of 9-6 to bring their final record to 24-21, just missing a playoff spot that went to London. Their Player of the Month was Isaiah Hicks.
The Alberta Oilers had a better month with new Head Coach Bill Self and deadline pickup of Tyler Self but still only managed a 6-9 record to bring their final record to 11-34. Their Player of the Month was Tim Delaney.

October 2016 - NBL Canada Playoffs
In the East Divison, it was the Halifax Hurricanes that managed to beat the Island Storm in a very close 7 games series to advance to the NBL Canada Finals. The Player of the Series was Julius Randle of Halifax.
In the West Division, it was unsurprisingly the Vancouver Rain that defeated the London Lightning in a blowout 4-0 series victory to advance to the NBL Canada Finals The Player of the Series was D'Angelo Russell of Vancouver.
In the NBL Canada Finals, it was the Vancouver Rain that defeated the Halifax Hurricanes in a 4-2 series victory to win the inaugural NBL Canada Championship!

2016 NBL Canada Offseason
The first move of the offseason saw the Alberta Oilers send G Donte DiVincenzo to the Quebec Kebs for F Ryan Spangler.
The Island Storm sent G Kevin Yogi Ferrell to the Montreal Jazz for G Brian Rouse.
In shocking news, former NBA #1 overall draft pick F Anthony Bennett has elected to head to the NBL Canada and play for the Quebec Kebs.
In more shocking news, Miami Heat player G Justice Winslow has elected to turn his back on the NBA to join the Alberta Oilers of the NBL Canada as they continue their rebuilding.
The London Lightning have elected to send F Kaiser Brooks to the Vancouver Rain for G Devonte Graham.

London AND Island lost in the semis JUSTISE WINSLOW!!! I thought I said don't bring Justise away from Miami?? Oh man... I hope Alberta has success as well now! And unlike Winslow, a smart career move for Anthony Bennett to move to Canada. Hopefully he actually does something with his fame.

East Division The Halifax Hurricanes started off the season much like the ended the last one by finishing the month with a 9-6 record. Their Player of the Month was the ever dominant Julius Randle.
The Island Storm showed that they should have been in the NBL Canada playoffs last year by finishing the month with a 12-3 record. Their Player of the Month was Jahlil Okafor.
The Montreal Jazz stumbled a bit out of the gate by finishing the month with a 6-9 record. Their Player of the Month was Kevin Yogi Ferrell.
The Quebec Kebs made their presence felt in the East finishing finishing the month with a 9-6 record. Their Player of the Month was Anthony Bennett.
West Division The Vancouver Rain continued their historic run at the top of NBL Canada finishing the month with an 11-4 record. Their Player of the Month was 2016 MVP D'Angelo Russell.
The London Lightning struggled early on in the season finishing with a record of 7-8. Their Player of the Month was the returning Kristaps Porzingas.
The Windsor Express didn't really make a huge impression on the league in the first month finishing with an 8-7 record. Their Player of the Month was Kennedy Meeks.
The Alberta Oilers continued their struggles in the month of July finishing it with a 6-9 record. Their Player of the Month was Justice Winslow.

East Division The Island Storm continued their domination of the league finishing the month with another 12-3 record thus bring their total record to 24-6. Their Player of the Month was Jahlil Okafor.
The Halifax Hurricanes continued their freefall finishing the month with a record of 6-9 thus bringing their final record to 15-15. Star player Julius Randle was injured and will miss the remainder of the season. Their Player of the Month was JaQuan Lyle.
The Quebec Kebs continued to show what a few key acquisitions in the offseason could do as they finished the month with a 9-6 record thus bringing their total record to 18-12. Their Player of the Month was CJ Cole.
The Montreal Jazz played their hearts out but only managed yet another 6-9 month to bring their total record to 12-18. Their Player of the Month was Remy Abell.
West Division The Vancouver Rain continued their charge towards a second consecutive NBL Canada title by finishing August with another 11-4 record to bring their total record to 22-8. Their Player of the Month was D'Angelo Russell.
The Windsor Express picked it up in August and finished the month with a 9-6 record to bring their total record to 16-14. Their Player of the Month was Kennedy Meeks.
The London Lightning picked it up in August to make the West interesting as they finished the month with an 10-6 record to bring their total record to 17-13. Their Player of the Month was Ryan Augustine.
The Alberta Oilers continued to chug along, finishing the month with a respectable 7-8 record to bring their total record to 13-17. Their Player of the Month was Justise Winslow.

The Quebec Kebs secured their playoff spot finishing the month with a 10-5 record to bring their total record to 28-17. Their Player of the Month was Anthony Bennett.
The Halifax Hurricanes continued their freefall through the ranking as they finished with a 6-9 record to bring their total record to 21-24. Their Player of the Month was Trevor Thompson.
The Montreal Jazz tried to pick it up but were unable to as they finished with a 6-9 record to bring their total record to 18-27. Their Player of the Month was Remy Abell.
West Division The Vancouver Rain looked strong heading into the playoffs as they ended the month with a 10-5 record to bring their total record to 32-13 to secure a spot in the playoffs. Their Player of the Month was D'Angelo Russell.
The London Lightning finally pulled ahead of Windsor to claim a playoff spot by finishing the month with a 9-6 record to bring their total record to 26-19. Their Player of the Month was Myles Davis.
The Windsor Express fell back into relative obscurity after finishing the month with a 6-9 record to bring their total record to 22-23. Their Player of the Month was Isaiah Hicks.
The Alberta Oilers remained in the league's basement as they finished the month with a 5-10 record to bring their total record to 18-27. Their Player of the Month was Justise Winslow.
