1996 Presidential primaries
Democratic Party: The Democrats ran a pretty clean campaign although Lyndon LaRouche raised some eyebrows with some of his remarks although he withdrew shortly after the primaries began. He endorsed Bill Bradley.
Ann Richards ran a phenomenal campaign and was seen as a frontrunner, however, was forced to drop out due to health issues. She threw her support behind Al Gore.
Al Gore and Bill Bradley fought tooth and nail all the way to the convention where Al Gore was named the Democratic Presidential nominee. He selected Bill Bradley as his running mate.
Republican Party: The Republican race was wild from the start as all 6 of the candidates attempted to shed the negativity that surrounded the Kemp Presidency.
John McCain promised to have strong leadership and help bring America into the new millennium and was seen as an early frontrunner.
Steve Forbes withdrew shortly after the race began and endorsed Orrin Hatch.
Pat Buchanan made several off-color remarks regarding his fellow candidates and after losing big in the Virginia primary, elected to withdraw. He endorsed Lamar Alexander.
Alan Keyes ran a modest campaign stating that it was "time for a black man in the White House!" He withdrew after Super Tuesday and surprisingly endorsed Lamar Alexander.
Orrin Hatch seemed as though he was neck and neck with John McCain but after a big gaffe during a campaign rally, his numbers dwindled just prior to the convention and he withdrew, endorsing Lamar Alexander after refusing to endorse John McCain.
At the Republican National Convention, it was Lamar Alexander that was shockingly named Republican Presidential nominee. He selected Alan Keyes as his running mate. Many were incredibly shocked and bewildered by this.
Reform Party: Donald Trump and Jesse Ventura fought tooth and nail and neither seemed to be getting anywhere but when Ventura withdrew and endorsed Ross Perot, Trump began rising in the polls by soon withdrew.
At the Reform National Convention, Ross Perot was once again named the Reform Presidential nominee once again selected Ron Paul as his running mate.

2008 Presidential primaries
Democratic Party: Incumbent President Joe Biden was easily named the Democratic nominee for President. However, he did not choose John Edwards as his running mate but rather Senator Barack Obama of Illinois.
Republican Party: The Republican primary was an absolute shit show as it looked like none of the candidates stood a chance of election. This is why Mitt Romney withdrew after winning the Iowa caucus and claimed he would win in 2012.
Sarah Palin was seen as extremely idiotic and many said she stood no chance at becoming President and she soon withdrew from the race, endorsing Rudy Giuliani.
Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani both insulted each other numerous times and eventually, after an outburst during a debate, Mike Huckabee refused.
At the Republican National Convention, Rudy Giuliani was selected as the Republican nominee for President. He selected former Reform Party candidate Donald Trump as his running mate.
