So there's some differing opinions on Chris Benoit, trying to separate his in-ring accomplishments with his final hours. So I just wanted to see what our members thought and to see your answers to the few questions...
* When you watch an old Chris Benoit match, does his final hours involuntarily come to your mind? * Do you think Chris Benoit deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame? * Do you think Benoit will ever be allowed in the Hall of Fame? * Do you ever see a Chris Benoit mention happening during a WWE program in the future? (Raw, PPV, etc) * Do you think the son of Benoit, David, will ever wrestle for the WWE, and do you think they'd let him use the 'Benoit' name?

-I hardly ever go back to watch his old matches, but when I do, those final hours do come to mind.
-Chris Benoit the wrestler deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Chris Benoit the person does not.
-I don't see Benoit ever entering the Hall of Fame under any circumstances.
-I also don't see WWE ever mentioning the Benoit name again.
-I feel like WWE wouldn't go after David Benoit no matter how good he is. If they did, the Benoit name would not be used.

But yeah, I agree with a lot of this... All of it actually hahaha

He's a murderer. Plain and simple. Chris Benoit, the wrestler and the man are one in the same. He doesn't deserve to remembered for anything good.

Chris Benoit was one of two things. A poor man who snapped the last weekend of his life and will only be remembered for that. Or he was murdered and framed. Either way, R.I.P Chris, Nancy, and Daniel Benoit. The true Chris Benoit is a legend, the myth is a killer and I can't say I believe those myths.

I was, am, and always will be a huge fan of Chris Benoit. He was always one of my favorite wrestlers growing up, and even up till the day he passed.
-His actions don't come up when I watch his matches. When I watch Chris's matches, I just think about how great of a wrestler he was. -I think, based on his in-ring skill, as he was one of the best wrestlers to ever set foot in the ring, he deserves to be in the hall of fame. -However, i don't think Benoit will EVER be in the Hall, based on his actions during his final days, and that's understandable, because it would look bad on WWE. -I don't see Benoit ever being mentioned during a WWE program ever again. Back during the Rumble was the CLOSEST thing we'll ever get to a Benoit reference when Michael Cole stated that two men had entered the Rumble match at #1 and won. -If David ever wrestlers for the WWE, which could possibly happen one day, I don't think he'll be allowed to use the Benoit name, though I don't think he'll have to cause the motherfucker looks EXACTLY like his dad. Even though David said a few years back that he met with Trips, and he said he could use the Benoit name, I don't see it happening.

I don't necessarily think of his final hours every time I watch one of his matches but I can't help but cringe when the commentators call him a sure fire Hall of Famer and a great man.

You all should listen to Chris Jericho's interview with Nancy Benoit's sister. Sheds a whole new light on what happened and why it happened.
