There were a lot of questionable calls made throughout the draft, wither it be with when someone got picked or who picked someone, there's alot to question about the first round this year. Yeah, I wanted Nkemdiche, but the reason being is that he has experience playing DT and DE, not just one position. I can't really find much on Vernon Butler, so I want to assume he just played DT in college. I just question it, but I'll have to see where it goes from here. Last year, I semi-questioned the Shaq Thompson, because in college, he did play Safety, which was a position we needed, but he also primarily played OLB, which I made me question cause I figured he would play only LB, which that feeling was right. But looking back at it now, the call to take Shaq was a great one because he's being groomed to take over for the "aging" Thomas Davis, and he's playing great where he is right now. So I guess I'm just going to have to see how this plays out. I'm really hoping we'll dig in and take a mainly DE tomorrow. I'm really hoping in the 2nd or 3rd round we take a certain DE/DT from the Florida Gators by the name of Jonathan Bullard. Besides the fact that Jon Jon is a great athlete on the field, I went to high school with him, and I'd like to see him get drafted and succeed. You went to school with Bullard? That's called sweetness! hahaha ... Would you support Bullard anywhere he went though? He graduated like two years before I did, but I had a some interactions with him during that time and he seemed like a pretty cool dude. He was really chill. And yeah I would. I'd support him pretty much any team that drafted him, because he's from here, the same place as me. It'd be cool to say that someone from my little town, that's not an asshole (aka Brandon Spikes cause he's from here too) succeeded in life with doing what they wanted to do. So yeah, I would.

I know a lot of people take pride in Madison Bumgarner, because he's over there in Hickory, so people in Hickory and around the area love Bumgarner, but I can't stand him that he's from the Giants. Amazing player though, I will admit that.

I mean shit, David Flair literally lives here in my town, and owns a business here with his wife. So you'll take pride of famous people being from your town, especially if its a smaller one. So seeing Jon come back here to play for literally the home team would be kinda sweet.

Now I don't know exactly why Tennessee wanted to trade up, but Dallas wanted Paxton Lynch for whatever reason. I think he's Brock Osweiler, so that's good Denver got him, but with no time to groom Lynch and let him be a sponge on the sidelines, he'll get exposed quickly and falter, possibly being an option down the road. But yeah, I wouldn't have been too enthused about trading up to get Paxton Lynch, though I wouldn't have hated it either. I believe there's options from rounds 3-6 that Dallas could take to do just as much grooming behind Romo. Kevin Hogan stands out in my mind, as who wouldn't let a Stanford grad who wasn't bad at Stanford sit behind a future Hall of Fame QB in Tony Romo for a couple years, knowing he's more apt to learn and grow rather than Cardale Jones, who just has physical tools and not much of a student of the game. Honestly, wouldn't be stunned if Dallas takes Kevin Dodd or Emmanuel Ogbah in this second round, or trading down is always a likely scenario.

Hey guys, Richie lives at 648 Windmill Dr, Charlotte, NC... Let's go rob his house.
In other news, Crimson Tide players A'Shawn Robinson, Reggie Ragland, Jarran Reed, and Derrick Henry are all coming back for Day 2 of the NFL Draft tomorrow. Where on earth could these bad boys land?

So, just got done with the first round. A few notes.
1. Joey Bosa going #3. I'm fine with him going over Buckner, but #3 isn't where he should've gone. 2. Buckner going to Kelly is exactly what I expected once he dropped even a bit. 3. Houston trades up 1 spot? 4. Laquon Treadwell is the #3 WR taken, like I thought. Doctson is the better WR than Coleman, but Coleman looks to me like a Travis Benjamin type. 5. Ronnie Stanley and Jack Conklin going before Laremy Tunsil. Not what I expected. 6. Karl Joseph and Keanu Neal, while having good tape, don't look like first rounders to me. 7. Myles Jack out of the first round?! 8. Surprised the Packers didn't go with either Reggie Ragland or Hunter Henry. 9. Robert Nkemdiche to the Cardinals didn't seem like a Cardinal move. 10. Bengals snake William Jackson III from Pittsburgh, forcing them to take Artie Burns. 11. Niners trade up for a guard? 12. Giants reached on Eli Apple. 13. Surprised to see A'Shawn Robinson and Jarran Reed both drop out of the first.

To note, Laremy Tunsil dropped to the third tackle off the board because of a video posted to his Twitter like ten minutes before the Draft started of Tunsil smoking a bong with a gas mask. This scared teams off, but Miami chose to take the risk at 13... Then after the Twitter video, his Instagram was also hacked with apparent texts between Tunsil and his coach with financial support, which would have violated NCAA rules... But I've got a feeling Conklin will be an excellent pro. Reggie Ragland slipping out of the 1st is surprising to me, but apparently there's an issue with his aorta which will need to be moderated closely. They don't expect it to impact his career, but that scared teams enough not to take him in the first round. And to note your "4.", actually, Treadwell was the 4th receiver taken. Corey Coleman, Will Fuller, and Josh Doctson all went ahead of Treadwell.

Also, with Denver getting Paxton Lynch, I think they let him sit for a year. John Elway seems confident in Mark Sanchez, so maybe he starts for a year while Lynch learns.
Better than throwing him to the wolves, even if it means a down year (and a higher draft pick next year) for Denver.

But honestly, I expected him to go over Conklin. Stanley being the first tackle off the board surprised me, as I had him as the #3 tackle. Tunsil slipped for what ended up being, apparently, a 5 year old video. If I were teams, I'd have considered it, but realized he's passed all his drug tests for a while, so he's either clean, or good at hiding it, and thats probably what Miami did.

Well I see why all those teams passed on Tunsil, honestly. A bombshell drops 10 minutes before filling a job opening at your workplace, and without having enough time to research it, you go to the next player on your board. Dolphins fans were excited about Tunsil though, and he's a stud on the field, so I hope he's clean. But I expect Conklin to be the excellent pro, I really do. What did you think about Doctson to Washington?

What did you think about Doctson to Washington? I feel like every team that drafted a WR got exactly what they needed. Houston got their burner, while Washington (despite surprising me by taking a WR) and Minnesota got their big bodied guys who can get the 50/50 balls, and Cleveland got the guy they needed most, someone who can get open. Conklin I think will be the best pro out of the three, being him, Tunsil and Stanley. I had Tunsil rated higher, however, due to his readiness to come in and immediately play LT and do it well.
