Apparently the reason Ryback wasn't on Raw Monday was a result of Him and Vince falling out over a contract dispute. It seems incredibly likely that Ryback is done with WWE but it's not certain yet as his contract runs until the summer. He also posted a blog on his tumblr with some unflattering remarks which you can read here
Personally, Ryback has really grown on me over the last 18 months or so as his improvement and drive for the industry is clear. The guy has some good points in his blog and it's interesting to see him come out and make these comments under contract It's also interesting that the "Feed Me More" at the end of the blog is in Japanese phonetics so one can only assume that it's where he goes next should him and Vince fail to reach an agreement

I'm not even interested in wrestling anymore but I really do agree with his statement about "winners" and "losers" and how valuable they are.

Here's my thoughts... There's two things you have to abide by and respect when you're on opposite sides of the table or in a disagreement. 1. Making your issues public (check) 2. Using any vulgarity trying to strengthen your case, which in the end it doesn't (check) Ryback's broken both of those in that one post, which is why you always need to write it out if you must, but always delete it, backspace it, and never, EVER send it. Honestly, Ryback knows he lost this, or if he doesn't, someone should inform him. If he's trying to demand in the 2-3-4 million dollar range, WWE would be out of their minds to pay Ryback that. This is like if Darren McFadden demanded money that Tony Romo gets. Do they both contribute to the game? Yes. Do they both deserve the same paycheck? Absolutely NOT!! And do you think Ryback would get that money anywhere else? It's not for certain to say either way, but he certainly won't get it from TNA In the end, you just let this process play out. It's a frustrating time for Ryback, and I of all people understand getting on the internet and telling your side of the story. Unfortunately, despite his feelings on what the paychecks should be, he should settle for what he's worth to the company, not what he's worth to himself. PS: Thank you NXT is Almas <3 for posting this!

But wanting to tie this in to a similar situation, how about Conor McGregor and the UFC? Although I think we'd all agree Ryback isn't the star that Conor McGregor is (and I dislike both), Ryback is trying to get more money and wants to "change the system" and fight the men in suits to do that. I don't know, just reading Daniel Cormier's comments about Conor McGregor made me think of Ryback's situation lol. And the advice Cormier provided McGregor, I would say the same advice goes to Ryback in saying, "Just show up, do the work, try to keep your job, because you're not winning this argument". www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/ufc-daniel-cormier-conor-mcgregor-ufc-200-a-fight-he-just-can-t-win-050516

Though a supporting actor (Ryback) plays a role in the actual movie, he shouldn't make the same amount of money as the lead guy (John Cena) who is in it, and is so well-known he'll put butts in seats... and I just give the example of Cena, could also be Seth Rollins there too.

Yeah I see what your getting at but actors (with the exception of The Rock who is surprise surprise a wrestler) don't put hour after hour in the gym every day. Actors don't travel from City to City, sometimes from country to country, constantly alter their script week in week out, Actors don't go out and throw themselves around a ring and take bumps at least 5 nights a week, almost every week of the year So when you put it like that, The actor argument becomes invalid. Yes, there is an argument top stars should get paid more, but with the exception of more interivews, they are all in the same boat, doing all the same training, taking all the same bumps, same travelling shcedule, the lot For example, 2 electricians, Electrician 1 works all week, working as hard as he can but only fixes 25 electrical appliances Electrician 2 works all week, working as hard as he can but fixes 10 more electrical appliances than Electrician 1 Is it fair Electrican 1 get's paid less even though he has done all the same hours and hard work as 2? Now just apply the same template but with wrestlers and win/loss ratio Same hours, same graft, same everything, but less pay, for all the same work, especially in an industry as physically demanding and relentless as wrestling, it does seem unfair

Now just apply the same template but with wrestlers and win/loss ratio Same hours, same graft, same everything, but less pay, for all the same work, especially in an industry as physically demanding and relentless as wrestling, it does seem unfair Look at all what John Cena does for the company... Then what Ryback does. Not knocking Ryback at all, but he's on the road just as much as Cena. The only problem is, Cena produces more. Cena produces more with merchandise sells, he's allowed to market and advertise the product, he's allowed to draw more money for the company than Ryback, or anybody really. That is why John Cena is paid more, and well deservingly, than Ryback, as he should be. Now if you ask me, I think Triple H is underpaid. He not only wrestles and draws, not only is he filling in at house shows, but he also works on the business side of things, juggling not only WWE, but also NXT, and not even he is making Cena money. If anybody has a complaint, it's Triple H! It comes down to who is more valuable to your company. Should Seth Rollins, an indispensable talent, be paid just as much as Viktor? In my opinion, no. In no profession does everyone get paid the exact same, or not to my knowledge. This is why you work twice as hard as the people up top to try and get your promotion, your raise, and you wait your turn. I'm not trying to discredit all Ryback does, because he does travel just as much, and pro wrestlers are underrated as a whole for all they do. But WWE goes on with or without Ryback, but WrestleMania suffered without John Cena and Seth Rollins. It just comes to how dispensable or indispensable you are and how much positive difference you make for the company, such as marketing and merchandise sells.
