WWE seems to be pushing a "new era" in WWE, going back to a brand extension and would give extra opportunities for storylines and for some of the mid-carders to rise to the next level, who in my mind, can hold their own.
In case you haven't heard, WWE has signed Tajiri long-term and will be with WWE after he's done competing in their Cruiserweight Classic. There's also rumors WWE is trying to contact former talents to return for the brand extension, wrestlers from an older era.
What do you make of it? I'm interested in what others think about this. Should WWE be contacting former employees to come back for the brand split?

I think they're just trying to make the roster bigger for the brand split and figure that some people may want to come back to the company. I, for one, would love to see Carlito, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, etc. back.

I, for one, would love to see Carlito, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, etc. back. I guess those three names could still go in the ring. They can also, more importantly, cut promos to put some of the younger talent over... But Tajiri? That's what I'm shaking my head on, is he's 45 years old and he's not going to put anyone over with a promo.

Tajiri might just be a trainer for them, but I could see him being back with the brand split. The guys coming back will just be there to put over the new era talents, while occasionally maybe grabbing a title.
