That's odd, actually... On the PS3, it's always allowed me to talk to the GM, though it's an option I hardly use anymore... That's strange... I was just reading up on it a minute ago actually lol and apparently you have to play long enough to get through the entire "Livin' Da Dream" narrative before actually being able to do whatever which is pretty dumb imo Wooooow.. Do you know how long that's going to last??

One thing in this game that I'm not a huge fan of is how long the loading screens take. Ridiculous really.

After ending up with the 7th seed in the west, the Lakers have been set up with a HUGE challenge in taking on the 2nd seed Thunder and to make things even more difficult, D'Angelo Russell is out for the first three games of the series. Thunder took the first game pretty easily in OKC but in what felt like a miracle the Lakers beat the Thunder in OKC thanks to a team effort featuring Jordan Clarkson who has a standout performance with 15 points and 17 assists giving the underdog Lakers the momentum in a tied series heading into Game 3 in Staples Center. Game 3 definitely carried that momentum in a 104 - 93 victory for the Lakers led by a resurgant Kobe Bryant who, in his 21st season for the purple and gold, put up 33 points on 14 - 20 shooting from the field. He wasn't alone in the victory though as Julius Randle had 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists. DeMar Derozan also chimed in with 21 points as JC has another great game as the facilitater with 14 points, 10 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. The Lakers have the momentum, the lead in the series, home court advantage and a returning young star in D'Angelo Russell as we head into a pivotal Game 4 against the Thunder. #QuestForThe17th #Mambas6th Forgot to update you all on this earlier but the Lakers ended up taking out the Thunder miraculously in 6 games. Currently up 2-1 against the Houston Rockets in the second round and honestly, this is such an easier series in comparison to the series against the Thunder. Jeremy Lin, James Harden, Trevor Ariza, Donata Motiejunas and Dwight Howard are a picnic compared to Russell Westbrook, Randy Foye, Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter. The Western Conference FInals are going to be something though as we'll be up against either the Clippers or the Warriors.

Lakers have just taken a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets after D'Angelo Russell essentially took over the game in the 4th Quarter ending up with 33 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists and a steal in the Lakers' 86 - 81 victory over the Rockets. This team has been such an underdog and yet somehow I keep managing to come up with the W. It's reminiscent of my NBA 2K10 Lakers team which wasn't much of an underdog but was unstoppable kind of like this one is. That featured a starting five of Sebastian Telfair, Kobe Bryant, Danny Granger, Brandon Bass and Pau Gasol. It's funny because 3 out of those five are currently valuable role players. Those role players being Kobe Bryant, Danny Granger and Brandon Bass.

In Game 5 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals, the Lakers manhandled the Rockets in Houston 96 - 77. They were led by the trio of D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson. Russell had 25 points, 1 rebounds, 10 assists and a steal. Julius Randle had 18 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and a block. Jordan Clarkson chimed in with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. The Lakers move on to the Western Conference Finals to play the 64-18 Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile, in the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James and the 1st Seed Cavaliers look to do battle with Kyle Lowry and the 6th Seed Toronto Raptors... the Warriors scare me.

So an update on my MyLeague, I didn't make it to the Finals in 2017 which pissed me off so I went bananas with some trades and free agent signings and developed my young players up until the 2019-2020 season when we went 50-32 led by the league MVP D'Angelo Russell who averaged 29.2 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 8.7 APG and 2.0 SPG. We ended up as the 3rd seed in the Western Conference. We ended up taking out Karl Anthony Towns and the 6th seed Minnesota Timberwolves in 5 games. We then went on to beat the 2nd seed New Orleans Pelicans in 5 games as well. We then went on to take on the haunting task of being in the Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors, the same team that prevented the Lakers from getting to the Finals a few seasons ago. We beat them in 6 games. Now, we've finally made it to the Finals and we are pit against an overachieving Philadelphia 76ers team featuring a starting five of Jamal Murray, Ben McLemore, Corey Brewer, Noah Vonleh and Jahlil Okafor as well as sixth man Dwight Howard. I've already llayed Game 1 but I'll do that in a separate post. Here is my roster right now.
Head Coach. Rick Carlisle
1. D'Angelo Russell 2. Avery Bradley 3. Giannis Antetokounmpo 4. Julius Randle 5. Rudy Gobert 6. Jordan Clarkson 7. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson 8. Willie Cauley-Stein 9. Joel Embiid 10. Larry Nance Jr 11. Louis Williams 12. Tony Snell 13. Nik Stauskas
If you wanna know any averages, go ahead and ask.

In Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers are up against Jahlil Okafor and the Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia. It was a little difficult for the Lakers to get going in the first quarter as the Sixers got an early lead but by the time the quarter was over, it was a tie game at 25 a piece. As the Lakers were heating up from the momentum of the first quarter, their stifling interior defense and ability to stretch the florr gave them a great advantage as they end the half up 45 - 36. After halftime, the Lakers continued to click as they end up with a lead of 75 - 57 at the end of the third. The Lakers just had to continue to play defense and hit their shots and they could easily take the win away from home in Game 1. The Sixers started to come back a little bit thanks to some clutch shots from Jamal Murray and Ben McLemore but D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle weren't going to have it as they each went for 10 points each in the quarter thus sealing the 76ers fate in Game 1. The Lakers won Game 1 in Philadelphia 104 - 79. Some of the top players this game were D'Angelo Russell who had 26 points, 4 rebounds, 12 assists and a steal. Julius Randle had 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. A key contributer on defense and the boards was Rudy Gobert who only had 6 points but really shined with 18 rebounds and 5 blocks.

In Game 2 of the 2020 NBA Finals, it seemed to be more of the same as the Lakers dominated the Sixers in yet another blowout win as the Lakers won 108 - 79. D'Angelo Russell was definitely the player of the game as he exploded with 46 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, a block and 12 three pointers, 6 of which came in the second quarter alone. The Lakers take a 2-0 series lead as they head home for Game 3.

Well, considering Sam Hinkie isn't in charge anymore, I have a feeling they'll be in the playoffs within the next four years. Their new GM IRL is a bit of an old school guy who won't tolerate what the 76ers have been for the past few years.
