FORMER UFC HEAVYWEIGHT SIGNS WITH BELLATOR MMA The popular heavyweight fighter Matt Mitrione (9-5) is leaving the UFC for Bellator MMA after a period of free agency, he announced Monday on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. Mitrione is the latest in a number of well-known Bellator signings recently, including former UFC champion Benson Henderson and legend Wanderlei Silva. Mitrione had an offer on the table from Bellator and the UFC chose not to match, he said. Mitrione called his free-agent period "lovely" and said he was excited about a new start with Bellator. He added that his Bellator contract is a four-fight deal and every fight is a guaranteed six-figure purse. Mitrione said he's now "making double" what the UFC offered him as show and win money. Also part of Mitrione's deal is a color commentary gig with Bellator Kickboxing. He'll be debuting on the inaugural show headlined by Patricky Freire and Derek Campos on April 16. Mitrione, who said he would be fighting "very, very soon," didn't waste any time talking trash as a newly minted member of the Bellator roster. He called out Bellator heavyweight Tony Johnson on Twitter. |mmafighting.com|15th March 2016|

BELLATOR'S ITALY LINE-UP FINALIZED Bellator MMA recently announced plans for its first overseas adventure, scheduled to take place April 16 at the Pala Alpitour in Torino, Italy. The event in Italy will also mark the debut of Bellator's brand new Kickboxing promotion. The event will be co-promoted by Oktagon Kickboxing and will feature both MMA and Kickboxing bouts. The main card (Bellator MMA) will air exlusively on Spike TV and features the following fights: The headliner for the event will be a rematch between the brazilian Patricky "Pitbull" Freire and his american counterpart Derek Campos. Two years ago, in their first meeting, Pitbull was able score a TKO victory over Campos. Both men want to continue climbing the ladder in Bellator's lightweight division after impressive performences in their most recent fights. Pitbull scored a nasty knockout against Ryan Couture at Bellator 148, while Campos was able to shock the world with his KO victory over MMA veteran Melvin Guillard one month ago. The event will also feature the Bellator debuts of Alessio Sakara, who meets the hard-hitting Brian Rogers, as well as the russian muay thai champion Anastasia Yankova against fellow promotional newcomer Anjela Pink. One of the hottest prospect in MMA today in A.J. McKee faces the italian Danilo Belluardo. The complete line-up, including the Kickboxing bouts can be found here: Main Card (Spike TV) Lightweight: Patricky Freire (15-7) vs Derek Campos (16-6) Light Heavyweight: Alessio Sakara (16-11, 2NC) vs Brian Rogers (12-8) Featherweight: A.J. McKee (3-0) vs Danilo Belluardo (5-0) Women's Flyweight: Anastasia Yankova (2-0) vs Anjela Pink (0-0) Welterweight: Daniele Miceli (2-0) vs Filip Kotarlic (5-2)

QUARTET OF UNBEATEN PROSPECTS SIGN WITH BELLATOR MMA
Bellator MMA recently revealed on their website a list of four fighters that will join the roster immediately, signing the canadian Aiemann Zahabi (6-0), Jackson-Wink product Phil Hawes (3-0), Anderson Sliva protégé Khalil Rountree (4-0) and NCAA All-American wrestler Logan Storley (3-0) to exclusive, multi-fight deals. Aiemann Zahabi, 28, Bantamweight, trains at the Tristar Gym in Montreal, Canada under his brother and head coach Firas Zahabi. Aiemann finished all of his eight fights as an amateur and professional MMA fighter with his most recent win comming by way of TKO against Kyle Oliveira. Phil Hawes, 27, Middleweight, a Junior College Wrestling National Champion from Iowa Central Community College, training with the likes of Donald Cerrone, Carlos Condit and Jon Jones at the Jackson-Wink Gym. His coach Greg Jackson described Hawes as one of the next big things in MMA and even drew comparision with the likes of Cain Velasquez, Chris Weidman and felllow Jackson-Wink fighter Jon Jones. Hawes has finished all of his four fights within two rounds. He even won his only amateur fight via a 15 second knockout at Heavyweight back in 2013. Khalil Rountree, 26, Middleweight, made his amateur debut 5 years ago and won all of his 10 fights since then. UFC Legend Anderson Silva predicted a bright future for the Wand Fight team fighter and rightfully so as Rountree most recently showed his wicked striking when he knocked fellow KO artist Justin Polendey out within two minutes of the very first round. Logan Storley, 23, Welterweight, the four time All-American wrestler and Brock Lesnar protégé has looked outstanding so far in his MMA career, finishing all of his three fights inside the first round under the Resurrection Fighting Alliance banner. Currently training with the likes of Ryan Bader, Myles Jury and former Bellator Lightweight champion Michael Chandler at Power MMA, Storley won his most recent fight via Ground and Pound in 33 seconds. |mmafighting.com|

|BELLATOR 152: PITBULL VS CAMPOS 2|[PALA ALPITOUR | TORINO, ITALY | APRIL 16, 2016] |OFFICIAL MAIN CARD ON SPIKE TV|
WelterweightDaniele Miceli (2-0) |vs| Filip Kotarlic (5-2) The mixed martial arts portion of the evening was opened up by two promotional newcomers as both fighters avoided a touch of the gloves and went to war straight away. The croatian Kotarlic put a lot of pressure on Miceli with wild strikes, that backed the italian up against the cage where he was barely able to defend himself from the shots Kotarlic was throwing his way. A big hook to the body caused Miceli to drop his guard which gave Kotarlic the opening to score heavy strikes to the face, sending the italian helpless to the ground as the referee Alfio Maugeri waved off to the end fight. After a two-year layoff Filip "Atomiko" Kotarlic made a big statement with this win over Miceli and probably secured himself another fight in the california-based promotion. Result: Filip Kotarlic (6-2) defeated Daniele Miceli (2-1) by TKO at 0:57 in the 1st round Women's FlyweightAnastasia Yankova (2-0) |vs| Anjela Pink (0-0) The heavily promoted debut for the renowned Muay Thai champ Anastasia Yankova finally took place in Italy and went perfectly in her and Bellator's favour. Having the superior advantage in the stand-up, Yankova used her kicks to keep the bigger Pink at distance for a while before Pink went for a level change and takedown attempt, only to eat the patella of the russian striking ace. Dazed from the strike Pink went into complete defensive mode as Yankova wasted no time to get control of her battered foe, taking the back in the process and wrapping up her arm around Pink's neck for the choke that forced the tap from the american flyweight. Result: Anastasia Yankova (3-0) defeated Anjela Pink (0-1) by Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 2:58 in the 1st round FeatherweightA.J. McKee (3-0) |vs| Danilo Belluardo (5-0) Two undefeated prospects clashed off as second-generation fighter A.J. McKee took on the promotional newcomer Danilo Belluardo. McKee showcased the fans his excellence skills, mixing it up perfectly between striking and wrestling in this fight. Belluardo struggled to cope with all the facets McKee showed him throughout the fight, but the italian Stabile Fight team fighter was tough enough to survive several choke attempts from McKee on the ground in the first two rounds. In the finale round Belluardo went for a desperate takedown attempt but countered perfectly by McKee, who secured an anaconda choke from the turtle position to finish the fight impressively by submission. McKee keeps his superb run going, making it 4-0 under the Bellator banner for the 20-year old. Result: A.J. McKee (4-0) defeated Danilo Belluardo (5-1) by Submission (Anaconda Choke) at 2:31 in the 3rd round Light HeavyweightAlessio Sakara (16-11, 2NC) |vs| Brian Rogers (12-8) In what promised to be a hard-hitting and ferocious stand-up war between two vicious strikers, unfortunately turned out to be a relative dull affair between UFC veteran Alessio Sakara and long-time Bellator fighter Brian Rogers. Little of ac
tion happened in the first round before Rogers caught Sakara with a nice uppercut, that clearly stunned the italian but Rogers couldn't capitalize on it as Sakara wisely took him down to the mat. Sakara followed the same pattern in second and third round, realizing every shot Rogers was throwing intended to knock him out. However, late in the third Rogers was able to scramble his way back up before unleashing a barrage of big shots, dropping Sakara with a close range elbow strike to the jaw. Rogers tried to finish the fight from there but it was too late for the Ohio native as the bell rang and the fight went to the judges scorecards for the decision. Result: Alessio Sakara (17-11, 2NC) defeated Brian Rogers (12-9) by Split Decision (30-27, 30-27 and 28-29) at 5:00 in the 3rd round Lightweight Patricky Freire (15-7) |vs| Derek Campos (16-6) The main event featured a high pace and a lot of action from both fighters, back and forth as Derek Campos was looking to avenge his loss from Pitbull two years ago. Both man needed a significant victory and that exactly what Pitbull got when he caught Campos with a big overhand right, that caused Campos to drop down to the canvas in the second round. Pitbull followed his hurt opponent to the ground, landing several more hammerfists to the head of Campos before referee Lorenzo Spoto stepped in and stopped the fight immediately. Pitbull adds another lethal stoppage victory to his resume, riding on a two fight winning streak while Campos finds himself in a difficult spot, losing four of his last six fights via stoppage inside the first two rounds. Result: Patricky Freire (16-7) defeated Derek Campos (16-7) by TKO at 1:44 in the 2nd round [Bellator 152 Post-Fight Scrums coming up soon]
Prediction Results: @theironjaw 3 out of 5 correct! *To be fair you had to pick several unknown fighters, even though i was suprised you decided to pick against Yankova. Decent result my friend. *

BELLATOR 152 POST-FIGHT SCRUM HIGHLIGHTS
- Bellator MMA president Scott Coker had mainly postive thoughts when he was asked about Bellator's first international event. Coker explained that Bellator plans atleast two more events outside the USA in 2016, most likely heading towards the United Kingdom and Russia. Coker also showed his relief about the MMA legalization in New York, saying they plan an event this year in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, most likely headlined by Liam McGeary versus the winner of the upcoming Light Heavyweight showdown between Phil Davis and Muhammed Lawal.
- For Bellator 156 in June, the Bantamweight title fight between current champion Marcos Galvão and former title holder Eduardo Dantas has been confirmed as the official headliner. Coker also added that the winner will most likely defend the belt against Darrion Caldwell, who recently ran through former champ Joe Warren.
- Melvin Manhoef was very pleased with his victory over Alexandru Negrea in their kickboxing bout. Manhoef said he now has his focus on winning the Bellator Middleweight Title held by Rafael Carvalho. Manhoef added that it has been now almost eleven years since he last won a title in MMA competion which adds some extra fuel to get the bell off from Carvalho.
- Patricky "Pitbull" Freire thanked his team, especially his brother Patricio for the good training camp they had together. Pitbull was very happy to add another TKO victory to his record, saying his goal is to become Bellator's Lightweight king as well as putting on exciting fights for the fans. Pitbull then talked about possible opponents, explaining he would like to avenge the defeats he suffered against Marcin Held and former Lightweight champ Michael Chandler, who is facing Josh Thomson next month with a possible title shot on the line.
- Anastasia Yankova said she spend most of her training camp in Thailand but also had a short stint at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, California for this fight. Yankova felt a lot of pressure going into her Bellator debut but is satisfied with the outcome. Yankova added that she would like to fight in the USA in her next fight.|mmafighting.com|

Yeah man, it was my fault picking Pink, looking back... In her debut against someone who's had a couple fights under her belt (both wins), I wasn't wise in picking against Yankova... Maybe next time I'll learn from my mistakes haha

Maybe next time I'll learn from my mistakes haha It was most certainly just a tune up fight for Yankova anyways. I think Pink is 1-3 as an amateur. No way Bellator would risk a loss for Yankova in her debut fight after promoting her so much.

Paul Daley confirms rematch with Josh Koscheck for Bellator event in the UK
On the MMA Hour this past Monday, Bellator Welterweight Paul "Semtex" Daley talked with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani about his next fight, confirming he will be fighting his long time rival Josh Koscheck this July when Bellator makes the trip over to the United Kingdom. Bellator officials later confirmed this statement via press release. At UFC 113, on 8 May 2010, Daley fought Koscheck for a title shot against the Welterweight champion at that time Georges St-Pierre. Koscheck won this fight with his superior wrestling and got the title shot, while Daley was furious about Koscheck's trash-talking and wrestling game plan the London native snapped and sucker punched Koscheck at the end of the finale round. For his actions Daley received a lifetime ban from UFC president Dana White and was released by the UFC. Six years later Daley now gets his shot at redemption while Josh Koscheck will look to make a statement in his first fight under the Bellator banner. Bellator also confirmed via press release that event will feature unbeaten star Michael "Venom" Page, submission ace Paul Sass and UK veteran Jim Wallhead. The complete lineup will be released shortly. |mmafighting.com|
