POST GAME RECAP
Aside from 3 big pass plays, Josh McCown was dreadful on the day. He couldn’t get anything going, and at the end of the game, when it mattered most, he threw 2 interceptions to allow the Raiders to drive the score up. Matt Forte has a couple of big plays, but Bilal Powell was in line to start next week, until a fumble to allow the Raiders their third touchdown of the fourth quarter. The Raiders also managed to block a field goal attempt and return it for a touchdown, AND fake a shot field goal attempt for a touchdown to Jared Cook. Marshawn Lynch was also able to put up another 2 touchdowns, and 151 yards this week. The Jets, again, started hot, and cooled off. They’ll need to show up for all 4 quarters next week, and the rest of the season.

POST GAME RECAP
The running game was again very lackluster, as Bilal Powell and Matt Forte couldn’t get anything done. Elijah McGuire got a couple of carries toward the end of the game, and was able to get through the line for a touchdown. He’ll be looked at as the starter for next week. What really killed the Jets this week, was penalties. Racking up almost 200 yards in penalties, this HAS to be cleaned up. The Jets were competitive, despite poor play, and less penalties might have meant a win.

Still, with Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Marquise Lee as pass catching targets, as well as rookie HB Leonard Fournette, the team could be a problem. The Jets have been especially susceptible to the run, and will have to watch for Fournette. -The Jets will still be without RG Brian Winters, who will return in 2 weeks, and DT Deon Simon, who will return next week. The Jaguars do not have any injuries, and will come into this week 100%.

POST GAME RECAP
This game was one of the worst played by any team all season. The Jets could not hang on to the football, or drive down the field. Nothing really got going well enough to mount any offense. The defense was even worse, letting the Jaguars down the field on every drive. Josh McCown was benched before the half, and Bryce Petty played the game out. Neither man was really inspiring at QB, but Petty did manage 2 TD passes and one less interception than McCown. When it finally seemed like the Jets defense made a play and forced a fumble, they recovered it, but the play ended up being a Safety. The Jaguars defense is one of the best in the league, but the production out of their offense was unexpected. There are many questions to be answered here.

Doctors have also cleared RG Brian Winters to return a week early, and the team will bring him back, meaning there are no injuries for the Jets this week.

DRAFT PREVIEW
The talk of this draft is Pitt QB Steven Lutman, a strong and accurate QB. He is looked at as the #1 prospect in this year’s draft. Right now, both the Bears and Jets are 0-4, and look to be the top candidates for the #1 pick. However, the Bears drafted Mitchell Trubisky #2 Overall last year, so it looks like the Jets may be in line for Lutman.
Penn State ROLB Kirkland Amey is playing lights out at the moment, surprising as he has been playing rugby most of his life. His pure talent has offenses confused, and he’s looking to be a Top 5 pick.
UCLA CB Darnelle Forte is the top CB prospect this year, and his father was an Olympian. He brings those genetics to the football field. He is considered a late first rounder.
This is a great year to need a QB, as there are 5 being talked about as first round talents. Other than Lutman, Stanford QB Bryce Shau is next on the board, followed by 2 Miami QBs, Jaron Holes and Hayden Larson, and Tennessee QB Vaughn Bell. There are also 4 HBs looked at as first round prospects, Nebraska’s Javier Castille, Texas A&M’s Marcus Beasley, Miami’s Alex Mills, and Georgia’s Josh Clowney. Defensive talent comes at a premium this year, as only 9 defenders are considered first rounders.

POST GAME RECAP
The game started out hot for the Jets, as it only took 2 plays to get into the end zone. The Jets could have scored more points, but Jamal Adams missed on a blocked field goal attempt that would have gone for a touchdown, and Robby Anderson, on his second catch of the game, was caught from behind at the one hardline, fumbled into the end zone, and the Browns recovered for a touchback. Elijah McGuire had trouble getting going, having 3 big carries, and very little gains in between. Bryce Petty looked good, but not great.
