The winners of the third Super Bowl. The first Super Bowl winner from the AFL. On top of the world! How far the mighty have fallen... The Jets have not appeared in the Super Bowl since their Super Bowl win in 1969. The Jets have not appeared in the playoffs since 2010, the height of "The Sanchize." With potentially the worst roster in the NFL today, the Jets are far off from another Super Bowl appearance. Todd Bowles had seemed to turn things around in his first season, with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB, and going 10-6. However, just a year later, the team went 5-11. Now, with Fitzpatrick, Brandon Marshall, and Eric Decker gone, this team is a shell of it's former self. With new management, we'll see if things can be turned around.

How is Madden 18? Debating on grabbing it Depends on a few things. What do you play most? If you play Ultimate Team, then it'll be worth it every year. If you play Connected Franchise, not much has changed. If you have Madden 17, I'd say just play that if your doing Franchise.

NEW YORK JETS 2017 SCHEDULE
PRESEASON
Week 1: vs. Titans Week 2: @ Lions Week 3: @ Giants Week 4: vs. Eagles
REGULAR SEASON
Week 1: @ Bills Week 2: @ Raiders Week 3: vs. Dolphins Week 4: vs. Jaguars Week 5: @ Browns Week 6: vs. Patriots Week 7: @ Dolphins Week 8: vs. Falcons Week 9: vs. Bills Week 10: @ Buccaneers Week 11: Bye Week Week 12: vs. Panthers Week 13: vs. Chiefs Week 14: @ Broncos Week 15: @ Saints Week 16: vs. Chargers Week 17: @ Patriots
The Jets have a very back and forth schedule, never spending more than 2 weeks at home or on the road at a time. The Jets open the season with 2 road games against the Bills and Raiders. The tougher stretch is going to be from Week 6 to Week 10, as they have 3 divisional matchups, as well as the Falcons, who made it to last year’s Super Bowl, and the Buccaneers, who are one of the top rising teams in the NFL. If the Jets are somehow in playoff contention, they’ll have to face the Patriots in Foxborough at the end of the season.
SEASON PREDICTION: 3-13

JETS 2017 STORYLINES
The Quarterback Situation
The Jets find themselves with veteran Josh McCown as the starter heading into the season. With Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenburg as the backups, will the Jets look to see what they have in the young guys? Also, there are veterans available in free agency. The controversial Colin Kaepernick is available, as well as former #2 Overall pick Robert Griffin III. It’ll be interesting to see what the Jets do here.
Lack of Offensive Firepower
To go with a lackluster QB situation, the Jets are also missing many key pieces. With the releases of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, the Jets lack a #1 receiver. Austin Sefarian-Jenkins doesn’t give much hope at TE either. Matt Forte and Bilal Powell are solid backfield options, but running can’t be the only thing. Among skill position players in free agency, DeAngelo Williams and Rashad Jennings are solid veteran HBs, Anquan Boldin, Vincent Jackson, and Stevie Johnson are the top available WRs, while Dennis Pitta and Ladarius Green are the top TEs.
Defensive Issues
The offense isn’t the only bad side of the ball for the Jets. With the regression and subsequent release of legendary Jets CB Darrelle Revis, CB is another spot the Jets need help in. Morris Claiborne was added in free agency, but he’ll need help. Jamal Adams was the team’s top selection in the draft, and he is a very good rookie safety. The pass rushers are among the top in the league, with Leonard Williams, Muhammad Wilkerson, and Shelton Richardson all being key components. The Linebackers, outside of pass rusher Wilkerson, needs help as well.
Rebuilding
The Jets are obviously in rebuild mode, and part of that comes trades. Some of the top Jets players are being shopped around in order to see what the Jets can recoup in the form of draft picks. There are some good players on other team’s trade blocks as well, including QBs Teddy Bridgewater from the Vikings and Jimmy Garoppolo from the Patriots. Other interesting players include Falcons HB Tevin Coleman, Packers TE Richard Rodgers, Browns G John Greco, and Raiders ROLB Bruce Irvin.

PRESEASON WEEK 1
NEWS
New York Jets sign TE Ladarius Green. New York Jets sign MLB Perry Riley Jr. New York Jets cut TE Tanner Purdum.
KEY GAME STORYLINES
-The Jets host the Tennessee Titans in their first preseason game of the year. This is the time where bubble roster guys get to prove themselves. Some interesting names to watch will be Rookie HB Elijah McGuire, Rookie ROLB Dylan Donahue, as well as the depth at both WR and CB.
-After signing Ladarius Green this week, Austin Sefarian-Jenkins may not be guaranteed a roster spot. The Jets like Rookie Jordan Leggett. Sefarian-Jenkins will run with the twos, but may drop to the threes at some point, or even off the roster.
-For the Titans, this will be Marcus Mariota’s first game action since his injury at the end of last year. We’ll see if he can show what he has the past two seasons.
-The Jets’ defensive line will be tested all game, as the ones will see DeMarco Murray, and the twos will see Derrick Henry.
-Eric Decker was released by the Jets and signed by the Titans. He’ll make his return to MetLife Stadium this week. Former Jets TE Jace Amaro will also return to MetLife this week, and he’ll see a bulk of the playing time behind Delanie Walker.

POST GAME REPORT
The Jets didn't look great in this win. With only 4 receivers catching anything, it's a wonder how the team came away with a win.Bryce Petty was starting to put together a good drive with a minute left in the 1st half, starting at the Jets 2 yardline, but threw an interception in the redzone. Elijah McGuire ran hard, but didn't get much for it. Austin Sefarian-Jenkins caught a short touchdown pass, as he tries to keep his #2 job.
