Episode 7 - "It's Been 6 Weeks"
Jessica is laying in bed, sleeping and obviously dreaming. More like having a nightmare. Jessica wakes up and quickly sits up. She takes in a big sigh of relief and gets out of bed. Jessica changes into workout gear and makes her way out of her apartment. She begins jogging down the street when her phone rings. It's Lindsay.
Jessica: "Hey Linds what's up?"
Lindsay: "Tell me you aren't working out already? You-"
Jessica interrupts her.
Jessica: "It's been 6 weeks! I can't stay locked up in my apartment forever!"
Lindsay: "Well as long as you stay Jessica Drew and not Spider-Woman. You aren't healed up all the way. You still need rest!"
Jessica: "I'll be fine! I feel good!"
Jessica slows her jogging up as she hears a faint scream. She stops and surveys her surroundings. She hears the scream again and notices that it is coming an alleyway.
Jessica: "Hey Linds, look I got to go. I'll call you back."
Lindsay keeps trying to talk but Jessica hangs up. Jessica runs down the alley and finds 2 men trying to rob an elderly woman.
Jessica: "HEY!"
The two men turn around and laugh.
Thug 1: "Ha! And who the Hell do you think you are!?"
Thug 2: "This sweet little thing must think she's Spider-Woman! What do you say man? What do you think she has on her?"
Thug 1: "I don't know. I think we should find out!"
Jessica: "I highly doubt that you want to do that..."
The two thugs run at Jessica and she gets into a fighting stance. Jessica drops her shoulder and flips one of the thugs over her and he lands back first into the concrete. Jessica spins around and kicks the other thug and he stumbles into the wall. Jessica runs at him but he jumps out of the way. Jessica runs up the wall, back flips, and lands in front of the thug. The thug looks terrified.
Thug 2: "Who are you lady!?"
The thug helps his partner up and they run off. Jessica runs over to the elderly woman and helps her.
Jessica: "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"
Elderly woman: "No, no! I'm fine! Thank you so much honey. You're a real hero!"
The elderly woman walks off as Jessica looks on with a confident smile.
~End of Scene~
Jessica is back at her apartment. She has made a new suit. This time it's all black with a side buttoned red leather jacket with a yellow spider symbol to go over it. Her new mask is similar to a pair of shooter's goggles with her own twist on them. Jessica puts her new suit on and looks as confident as ever.
Spider-Woman: "It's time to get answers. Kingpin, the Punisher, dad..."
~End of Scene~
Wilson Fisk is enjoying a huge and fancy meal in a restaurant that he has bought out for the night. He has guards stationed at the entrance. Wesley enters the restaurant and approaches Fisk.
Wesley: "Mr. Castle is enjoying his luxury reward in San Juan this week..."
Fisk continues eating his meal.
Wesley: "Our numbers are rising. With the Spider-Woman out of the picture, we no longer have reasonable threats to our operations."
Fisk: "She was never a threat. Only a speed bump. A speed bump that we squashed going full speed."
Wesley: "What is next sir?"
Fisk uses his napkin to wipe his mouth, then he takes a sip of water.
Fisk: "It's been six weeks since the death of Spider-Woman. DeWolff is behind bars. The SFPD is expected to announce a new Captain this weekend. And with Jefferson Davis cleared of all charges, he is going to work to get a name from DeWolff..."
Wesley: "Yes but all she knows is the name Kingpin sir."
Fisk: "But she does know your name... Wesley..."
Wesley then realizes what Fisk wants done.
Wesley: "I will make arrangements right away sir."
Fisk: "Jean DeWolff does not make it through the night Wesley."
Wesley nods his head and dials a number on his phone as he leaves the restaurant, and Fisk continues on eating his meal.
~End of Scene~
Jefferson is gathering up his things and preparing to go home for the night. He exits the precinct and as he turns the corner, Spider-Woman is leaning up against his car waiting for him.
Jefferson: "Don't you care if anyone sees you out here? Plus why are you even out here, there's no way all of your injuries can be healed yet!"
Spider-Woman: "The city thinks I'm dead. I need to show them I'm not."
Jefferson: "Alright... Well what do you have in mind?"
Spider-Woman: "To continue pursuing the Kingpin..."
Jefferson doesn't like what she just said.
Jefferson: "Jessica... I mean Spider-Woman, or what ever you want me to call you since I know now, are you crazy!? You were nearly killed by the Punisher 6 weeks ago. And now you want to fight another round!?"
She leans off the car and walks up to Jefferson.
Spider-Woman: "This is what I do, and this is what I stand for! I refuse to allow the Kingpin and his crooks to win this! It's not right and they need stopped!"
Jefferson looks uneasy for a moment but he then nods in agreement.
Jefferson: "Look. You need more time! Give me a chance to talk to DeWolff. I can get her to talk. You're going to get yourself killed! Just because you have a new outfit doesn't mean you're ready for war. Go home, heal up, and I'll handle this!"
Spider-Woman appears taken back what Jefferson just said. But she agrees with him.
Spider-Woman: "Alright, fine. Talk to DeWolff and see what you can get from her. But I can't sit on the sidelines long like this. Like I said, it's not who I am."
Jefferson: "I understand. But even Spider-Woman has her limits. Take it easy just a bit longer. I got this okay?"
Jefferson smiles at her and Spider-Woman nods in agreement. Suddenly an explosion rocks the area! And the alarms inside and outside the precinct begin blaring.
Jefferson: "DeWolff?"
Spider-Woman: "DeWolff..."
Jefferson draws his gun and prepares to run back to the precinct.
Jefferson: "Jessica..."
Jefferson turns to Spider-Woman but she is gone! Jefferson looks angry for a moment before running back to the precinct.

Spider-Woman looks shocked as she realizes all of the prisoners are now on the loose, and one of them is Blackout!
Spider-Woman: "Get everyone to safety. I'll handle this! Go!"
Spider-Woman runs off, headed for the cell blocks.
~End of Scene~

Jefferson: "I thought that whole show was to free you!"
DeWolff looks up at him with an emotionless look.
DeWolff: "They're here to kill me... So I don't talk."
Jefferson: "No one here is getting killed tonight, even if its you."
Blackout: "I beg to differ!"
Blackout appears out of nowhere and hits Jefferson so hard he is knocked across the room. Blackout has a sinister smirk on his face as he turns and looks at DeWolff, whom looks very frightened. Blackout turns back to Jefferson, and he has his gun pointed at him.
Blackout: "No Detective! Please don't shoot me! I give up!"
Blackout sarcastically puts his hands up, and an inmate hits the gun out of Jefferson's hand. The inmates gather around and hold Jefferson up as Blackout approaches him.
Blackout: "You were my arresting officer. And now I'm yours..."
Blackout goes to kill Jefferson, but a shot of venom blast nails him and he flies back into the wall! Spider-Woman stands at the entrance of the cell block. The inmates turn to face her and Blackout gets to his feet.
Blackout: "Nice new costume... I heard you were dead."
Spider-Woman: "Then you best believe in ghost stories, because I'm never going away!"
She fires another shot of venom blast and takes out the escaped inmates! Leaving just her and Blackout.
Spider-Woman: "Detective! Get DeWolff out of here!"
Jefferson seems hesitant as he knows she isn't healed up all the way.
Spider-Woman: "Go detective!"
Jefferson complies and gets DeWolff out of her cell and the two run off. Blackout and Spider-Woman stand across from each other.
Blackout: "I've been looking forward to this..."
Spider-Woman: "The only thing you need to look forward to is going back into that cell!"
Blackout: "You'll have to kill me..."
Blackout and Spider-Woman charge each other and begin going at it. They exchange blows back and forth, neither are giving in. Spider-Woman roundhouse kicks Blackout and nearly knocks him off of his feet. He wipes a trickle of blood from his mouth.
Blackout: "I'm not playing games with you!"
Blackout shows his claws on his hands and he begins swiping away, causing Spider-Woman to move backwards. She then leaps over him and he catches with a big kick to the chest! Spider-Woman smacks hard back first off a barred cell door and she falls to the ground hurting.
Blackout: "Awe what's the matter? This isn't the fight you had in you when we first met!"
Spider-Woman pulls herself up and is in obvious pain as she tries to fight back, but Blackout counters her every move and knees her in the stomach. Spider-Woman falls to her hands and knees gasping for air.
Blackout: "I'm disappointed in you Spider-Woman, this is how you die? How pathetic! Now after I kill you, I'll kill the good detective. Then I'll kill DeWolff! And you'll die knowing that you couldn't do a damn thing!"
Spider-Woman has a look of rage in her face and she leaps to her feet and unloads on Blackout with a combo of strikes! She knocks him right into an open cell and she slams the door shut, locking him inside!
Spider-Woman: "No one dies on my watch..."
Blackout is furious and he tries to grab her through the bars, but he can't reach. He then tries breaking the bars but he can't. Spider-Woman glares at him as he rages out. She then hears more gun fire and runs towards the shots.

Spider-Woman: "Where's DeWolff?"
Jefferson: "She was just here!"
They hear a car speeding off and they peer through a window to see the car get away.
Jefferson: "The only question is now... Did she get away, or did they take her?"
Spider-Woman: "I need to find out. Make sure everyone is alright here and I'll keep in contact.
Jefferson: "Got it!"
Jefferson goes to aid his fellow officers as Spider-Woman leaves to track down the get away veichle.

Spider-Woman: "Jean this isn't you talking. Please you don't want to do this... Just set the gun down. I can help you."
DeWolff: "Help me what? Delay the inevitable!? The Kingpin won't stop. He'll find me. And he'll find you too! We'll both me dead!"
Spider-Woman: "I won't let that happen! I promise! Now please Jean, think about this!"
DeWolff: "He's killed you once already. What do you think he's going to do to you when he finds out you survived?"
Spider-Woman: "That doesn't matter right now. What matters is your life. Please Jean... Give me the gun."
DeWolff begins to sob and she lowers the gun. She then hands it over to Spider-Woman.
Spider-Woman: "I give you my word Jean, I'll help you. But now you need to help me and give me a name. Any name that can lead me to the Kingpin."
Jean is silent for a moment as she regains her composure.
DeWolff: "Wesley... His name is James Wesley."
Spider-Woman: "Is that him? Is that the Kingpin?"
DeWolff: "No... But he's the next best thing. If you can get Wesley, then you may just get the Kingpin."
