The Chicago Blackhawks, a team that has been in the league's basement for years, drafted Patrick Kane #1 overall in 2007 and General Manager Dale Tallon promised the Chicago faithful that the team would win their first Stanley Cup since 1961 in the coming years through hard work and dedication from everyone on the Blackhawks roster. Critics laughed at his promise and said that the Blackhawks would be lucky to make the playoffs in the next 3 years and that lit a fire beneath Head Coach Denis Savard and the team and now they have something to prove.
