Just from a football fan perspective, how'd you feel if you were at a job, just signed a short-term deal, and then your boss spent all this money and benefits to get someone else unproven? I can understand where Sam Bradford is coming from, as the team essentially traded from 13 to 2 to get their quarterback, when they already had someone who did everything he was asked. I would feel betrayed and done dirty if I was Bradford.

He seems to point fingers, and he has had literally everything handed to him since his career began. Now he's afraid of a competition with an unproven starter and a rookie? He's being paid over 30 million dollars. He's been told he's the starter. He needs to go out there and prove it that he deserves to be in this league, but instead, he holds out, he says he doesn't want to compete, and he won't be showing up until he gets what he wants. If he was a real competitor, he'd take the field and work to prove that he deserves to be a starter. I refuse to support him, and I want nothing to do with him. Reports say that only one teammate, whom is unnamed in the report, tried reaching out to Sam. And what happened? Sam ignored him too. Sam isn't a leader. He's a baby. He isn't a pro. He's a twerp. Get him the hell out.

Grant it, it's just two years, but the Eagles didn't HAVE to have Sam Bradford this season. They could've let him walk, could've traded up for Wentz, and be done with it while letting Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz battle for the job in training camp. This is what I don't get, is why even sign Bradford if you're going to spend all of that on trading up for a quarterback at #2? This basically wastes two years of Sam Bradford's career, because even if he does play a year or two (which is doubtful), Bradford's body will be aged two years worth, and with the depravity of quality starting quarterbacks, Sam could've found his permanent home this year.

The reason they wanted to keep Bradford around this year is the "veteran" presence, even though he's barely a veteran. He's someone who has experience in this league, and while Wentz matures and adjusts himself to the league, Bradford can lead the team for one more year, and then let him go and not resign after the contract ends. They had the option to do that, unlike some teams who take Rookie QBS and immediately start them, so they chose to take that option instead of staring someone green. But now Bradford thinks he's too good for that, for having at least one year of being the starter, maybe two if they want Wentz to sit for more than just one year, and that he deserves to be the permanent anywhere he goes. Two more years in the league, even if it's with a bad team, is still two more years of experience that he can take somewhere else when the contract ends. Like, fuck, look at Mark Sanchez, the man is TERRIBLE, and he may just be the starting QB for the Broncos. Basically what I'm trying to say is fuck Sam Bradford, he's a bitch. -It's Richie, I'm too lazy to log in.

"Hey Sam, we'll pay you starting money, but we plan on drafting a quarterback early to let him learn under you. Are you willing to show him the ropes?" ... But nooooooo. Like it was probably bad enough Pederson brought in his boy from Kansas City being paid really good money, and then they draft a quarterback, not just in the first round, but #2 overall?! Like, seriously... And if nothing else, I'd be mad because the Eagles didn't surround me with any talent. They didn't put anyone on the defensive side to relieve me, and they didn't put anyone on the offensive side to help me immediately. Instead, I'll look horrible the first year trying to put the team on my back, and the Philly fans will boo me and chant for Carson Wentz after one bad throw. It's honestly a quarterback's worst nightmare to draft your "backup" in the first round. This is just one reason why Dallas didn't draft Johnny Manziel, because the craze would've been too big that if Romo threw ONE interception at home in Week 5, the fans would beg for Manziel. The same might happen here with Bradford and the Eagles this season.

The same might happen here with Bradford and the Eagles this season. No, not at all. Because if they had informed Bradford before hand of their plan, then he would have outright refused to sign any sort of contract and go looking for someone else to sign him. Philly did what they had to do, and this is what was best for them. They don't HAVE to tell their players anything that they plan on doing anything, because it is THEIR job to worry about the future, not the players. I mean you brought that up, and that's a valid point, its their worst nightmare, sure, but there are some teams that will draft a "back-up" to be a successor to their current starting QB. I mean New England's done it multiple times; Ryan Mallet, Jimmy G. Do you think Tom Brady is mad? Heck no, his team is building for their future, and he understand's that. Bradford doesn't. Now I'm not saying that Bradford is just as good as Brady, in fact he will never be good that because he can't stay healthy. And well, then the fans will have to understand that they're doing what is best for their franchise. Take Carolina for instance. Yes, while I and many other fans question some of the draft picks that DG has made over the past couple seasons, we still have faith in him, because we know he's building for the future. I heavily questioned the drafting of Vernon Butler, but I have faith in Dave because he's done this for so long. He is doing what is best for the franchise and the future. That is what Philly is doing, they're doing what is best for the franchise, and the fans have to realize that.

Dante Fowler Jr tore his ACL last May with the Jaguars, making the first round pick miss his rookie season.
This year? Jacksonville's first round pick Jalen Ramsey has a small tear in his meniscus. He'll get a second opinion, but they're striving to have him back by training camp. Hopefully this doesn't linger into the regular season.

Last year with Fowler. This year with Ramsey, and lets not Forget Myles Jack with his injury as well.

They must have a secret laboratory where they attack their rookie's knees as part of the "hazing" process. Hopefully Roger Goodell cracks down on this, but it's not the Patriots, so...
