Raw opens with Mr. McMahon standing in the ring, as he begins by introducing Monday Night Raw! He then begins saying that starting July 19th, Raw and SmackDown will be split, with evenly distributed rosters. He says that between now and June 19th, Money in the Bank, the two General Managers of Raw and SmackDown will be drafting Superstars. Then, between June 19th and July 19th, the Superstars who are not drafted will be eligible to be signed to exclusive contracts to either brand, with time allowed before the split of the rosters for these contracts to be finalized. He then says that tonight, the first 2 rounds of the draft will be held, with both brands getting 2 picks. He then says that we need to decide who the General Managers for both shows will be. He then introduces his children, Shane and Stephanie McMahon, who come out together. He tells Shane and Stephanie that at Payback, he decided that both of them would be in charge of Monday Night Raw together. He then says that with the new split, instead of working together, he wants to see them as rivals. So he announces that one of them will be in charge of Raw, and the other in charge of SmackDown. Stephanie then asks who gets control of what brand. Vince says he thinks its only right that Stephanie gets Raw and Shane gets SmackDown, considering that Shane really shouldn’t even have any control of Raw. He says Shane lost that right at WrestleMania, but out of the kindness of his heart, he gave Shane a second chance. Shane agrees that its only fair that Stephanie gets Raw, but then asks about who gets the first pick. Vince laughs, and says that they have to decide that between themselves, and says they have until the first round to decide, which is in an hour. Vince leaves the ring as his theme plays, as Shane and Stephanie stare at each other. Before he gets backstage, however, he stops, and says he almost forgot an important announcement about tonight’s main event. He announces that Shane’s picks tonight will team together against Stephanie’s in tonight’s main event! He then walks backstage, leaving his children in the ring.
Sami Zayn vs. Curtis Axel w/ The Social Outcasts Sami Zayn didn’t have much competition from Curtis Axel, but had to contend with Heath Slater and Bo Dallas at ringside. The Social Outcasts helped Curtis Axel at every chance they got, but in the end, Sami Zayn was able to fly over the top rope and take out Slater and Dallas, then hit the Helluva Kick on Axel to get the win.
The show is taken to the backstage area, where Renee Young introduces her guest, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. Renee Young asks Reigns about the upcoming brand split, and asks how he feels being one of the cross-brand champions. Reigns says Raw and SmackDown getting their own rosters is a monumental thing, and it means that he’ll have twice the number of men to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against. He says it doesn’t matter to him, and says that he’ll just prove even further that he’s The Guy, by beating everyone that Raw and SmackDown puts in front of him.
Cesaro is shown walking down the hall backstage, when he hears Kevin Owens come up to him. Owens mocks Cesaro for being unable to capture the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown. Cesaro laughs, telling Owens that he was the one that lost the title to Zack Ryder, and never got it back. Owens tells Cesaro that he was never given his shot at the title, and says Ryder never beat him. Cesaro says that it doesn’t matter, because Owens will be staring up a ladder as Cesaro captures the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Shane and Stephanie McMahon are shown backstage, as they are still trying to figure out who should get the first pick. Stephanie suddenly offers for Shane to have the first pick. He asks her if she’s sure, and she says its OK. Shane agrees to take the first pick, and Stephanie walks off.
The Club vs. Local Wrestlers The Club made quick work of the locals, putting them away in a few minutes with a Boot of Doom. They then attacked the men after the match, hitting one of them with a Magic Killer.
Charlotte and Dana Brooke are shown backstage. Charlotte tells Brooke that it feels so good to finally have her father away from her, just in time for the new brand split as well. Brooke says Charlotte never needed her father, and that she’s better off without him. Natalya walks up to them, and she says she’s proud of Charlotte for getting rid of Ric Flair. Charlotte says she doesn’t care about Natalya’s opinion, saying that she’s beaten Natalya multiple times now. Natalya tells Charlotte that she talked to Chane McMahon, and says that she’s been given one more title match, and says that Dana Brooke is banned from ringside this time. Dana Brooke looks worried, but Charlotte confidently says she’ll beat Natalya again, and says she’s never needed help. Charlotte then walks away, as Dana Brooke follows.
Shane and Stephanie McMahon come out onto the stage, ready to announce their first picks of the draft. Shane says he’s given some thought as to who he should take, and says he thinks one of the leaders of The New Era makes perfect sense to be the first pick. He says someone with the talent to lead the company for years to come, someone who will be a multiple time World Champion, and someone that has already been a World Champion. He says the first pick in the draft is… SETH ROLLINS! Rollins’ theme hits, and he walks out onto the stage, smiling wide, as he walks over to Shane McMahon and gives him a handshake, as Stephanie applauds. Seth stays on the stage, as he waits to see who one of his opponents in tonight’s main event will be. Stephanie says she thinks Seth Rollins is a perfect fit for SmackDown, then goes on to say that the first pick for Raw is someone who’s name has been synonymous with both Raw and the WWE for more than 10 years. She says this man is not a leader of The New Era, but is someone on the verge of 16 World Championships. That man is JOHN CENA! Cena’s theme hits, and he comes out onto the stage, pumped up. He walks over to Stephanie and gives her a handshake, as he then looks over to Seth Rollins, and says to him that they’re opponents again tonight. Rollins looks irritated at the pick, but shakes it off, as Raw goes to a commercial.
ROUND 1
Renee Young is shown backstage, as she announces her guest to be Seth Rollins. She asks Rollins how it feels to be the first pick in the draft, and he says he couldn’t be any happier. He says that all his work over his career payed off tonight, and says that despite spending months on the sidelines, Shane McMahon still sees him as being talented enough to be the first pick. Renee Young then says Rollins seemed to be a little upset that Stephanie chose John Cena. Rollins says he wasn’t upset that Stephanie took Cena, and more concerned for her. He says he still has a great business relationship with Stephanie, and says that John Cena has proven to be very selfish in his career, and says he doesn’t see that changing. Renee asks Rollins if he knows who SmackDown’s second pick, and his partner tonight, may be, and Rollins says he doesn’t care who it is, and says he will rule SmackDown no matter who else is on the roster.
Baron Corbin vs. Titus O’Neil O’Neil was a handful for Baron Corbin, as one of the few men who can match up to him physically. Corbin was able to defeat O’Neil after an End of Days, which he was able to execute after countering the Clash of the Titus.
Big Cass and Enzo Amore are shown backstage, as Amore says that the Dudleyz need to learn a thing or two about them. First, he says, is that they never back down from a fight, and he says that’s something that can’t be said of them. He then says that the second thing the Dudleyz need to learn is that they will not be able to defeat Big Cass on his own, and will never EVER be able to beat them together. Big Cass says D-Von and Bubba Ray are going to have to get used to things with them around, and they’re going to have to learn to like it.
Shane and Stephanie are shown backstage, as they talk about the first round. Stephanie says she’s surprised that Shane took Seth Rollins, considering that Seth has a prior association with her. Shane says taking Seth was about having a leader of the New Era, and says it has nothing to do with him and Stephanie. Shane then says that he was surprised to see Steph take John Cena, considering his problems with her. Steph says she couldn’t pass up on a 15 time World Champion like Cena, and says Cena is a great asset to have, no matter her business relationship with him.
The Miz w/ Maryse vs. Zack Ryder The Miz toyed with Ryder for most of the match, making him look foolish throughout. It wasn’t until the end, however, where Ryder saw a comeback, taking advantage of Miz underestimating him. Ryder was able to upset the Intercontinental Champion and pin him after hitting a Rough Ryder.
AJ Styles is shown backstage, and he says he’s disappointed in seeing Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson turning their back on him. He says he still sees them as friends, but understands that they came to the WWE in order to take it over with him. Styles says he still wants to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and says that he wants to do it without The Club’s help.
Naomi w/ Tamina vs. Natalya Naomi and Natalya had a good match, the action was back and forth. Tamina tried to interfere in the match, and was sent backstage due to this. Naomi defeated Natalya after Charlotte and Dana Brooke distracted her, allowing Naomi to get a quick rollup for the win.
After a commercial break, Shane and Stephanie are once again standing on the stage, ready to announce their second round of picks. Shane starts off by saying his second pick has been both a good friend, and a mortal enemy to Seth Rollins. He says this man and Seth Rollins’ careers are tied together, and says that them teaming together tonight should be an interesting dynamic. He announces his second pick as DEAN AMBROSE! Ambrose’s theme hits, and he walks out, casually strolling, where he stands next to Shane, and puts his arm around him. Seth Rollins is shown backstage, watching, and he gets visibly upset that Dean Ambrose will be his partner tonight. Back in the arena, Ambrose has Shane’s microphone, and he says that he can’t wait to team with Seth Rollins tonight, and to reunite The Shield! He then jokes, saying that he hopes Rollins doesn’t stab him in the back again, then says it wouldn’t surprise him if that were to happen. Stephanie then says that her second pick is someone who has some history with her first pick, John Cena. She says this man was once fired because of Cena, and says Dean Ambrose should know him well by now, as she does too. Her second pick is CHRIS JERICHO! Jericho’s theme hits, and he walks out onto the stage, strutting, as he shakes Stephanie’s hand, and asks for her mic. He says she’s glad Stephanie picked him, saying that he wouldn’t want to work for Shane McMahon. He then says that he can’t wait to get his hands on Dean Ambrose tonight, and says he’ll get some payback for being slammed into thumbtacks at Extreme Rules.
ROUND 2
The New Day come out to the ring, as Xavier Woods says that tonight, Kofi Kingston has a chance to enter the Money in the Bank ladder match, with a shot to climb a ladder and retrieve the briefcase, giving The New Day a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship whenever they like. Woods then says that at Money in the Bank, he and Big E will defend the tag team championships against whoever so happens to be the next to get a shot at the titles. Enzo and Cass come out, as Enzo performs his entrance promo. He then says that Kofi Kingston is not getting past Big Cass, and says that Big Cass is going to be Mr. Money in the Bank.
Money in the Bank Qualifier Kofi Kingston w/ The New Day vs. Big Cass w/ Enzo Amore Big Cass was able to handle Kofi well, while Kofi got some good offense in. The match looked to be over after an East River Crossing, but The Dudleyz pyro hit, and they walked out to distract Cass. Enzo, along with Big E and Xavier Woods, handled The Dudleyz, but Kofi was able to recover, and hit Trouble in Paradise on Cass and get the 3.
Seth Rollins is shown backstage, with Dean Ambrose, as he says that they have to work together tonight. He says they’ve worked together before, and says they can do it now. He says they have to put their differences aside to be able to get the win. Rollins goes for a handshake with Ambrose, but Ambrose looks at Rollins’ hand, then back at him. He says thats a good plan, but says he has an idea too. He says that Rollins should just stay out of his way, resist the urge to hit him across the back with a chair, and they should win. Ambrose then smiles and says its good to work with him again, then walks away, as Rollins is clearly upset.
John Cena and Chris Jericho are then shown backstage together, as Cena tells Jericho that working together tonight will be important. Jericho says he doesn’t care about working together with Cena, and says he couldn’t care less about winning tonight. He says he wants to get his revenge on Dean Ambrose, that he wants to make Ambrose pay. Cena says that could work for them, and says that as long as Jericho wants to fight Ambrose that badly, they should be able to win.
John Cena and Chris Jericho (RAW) vs. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (SmackDown) Cena and Ambrose are in the ring, fighting it out. Ambrose has the upper hand on Cena, but Cena is able to make the tag to Jericho. Jericho gets in the ring, and gets his hands on Ambrose for the first time in the match. Jericho starts pummeling Ambrose, ignoring the referee’s count. The ref keeps pulling Jericho away from Ambrose, but Jericho gets right back on him. This keeps going until Seth Rollins is able to springboard toward Jericho and hit him with a flying knee. This makes Jericho stumble and fall to a knee, where Ambrose is able to hit Jericho with Dirty Deeds, and pin Jericho for the win.
After the match Ambrose stares at Rollins, who is celebrating the win. Rollins turns toward Ambrose, and goes for a handshake. Ambrose continues staring at Rollins, when Shane McMahon’s theme hits. Shane come out to the stage and applauds Ambrose and Rollins. Rollins uses this distraction to kick Ambrose in the gut and hit him with a Pedigree, and stands over Ambrose, yelling that he’s The Man, as Raw comes to a close.

So we've got two of the future on SmackDown as the other two are towards the tail-ends of their careers and are on Raw... This is interesting, but one can only think that means Roman Reigns will be on Raw, and whoever your top heel is going to be, whether it's Kevin Owens or Bray Wyatt or someone entirely different, I'm not sure. And THANK YOU for not letting Big Cass qualify for MITB. I owe you more than anything!!

And it's just wrong you ban Dana Brooke from ringside. How dare you -_-

Raw starts with Roman Reigns’ theme hitting, as he comes down to the ring, being showered in boos. With the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in tow, Reigns walks down to the ring. Before he can say anything, however, Seth Rollins’ theme hits. Rollins comes out from the back, a huge smile on his face, as he walks down to the ring. He enters the ring with Reigns, and walks around him. Rollins then stops and stares at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and says he can’t wait to take back what is rightfully his. He thanks Reigns for keeping it warm for him, but says at Money in the Bank, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will belong to him again. Reigns laughs, and says Rollins is crazy if he thinks that he’ll be the World Champion after Money in the Bank. Reigns says it’s going to stay right where it is, no matter the cost. Rollins tells Reigns that he doesn’t have the guts for the “at any cost” mentality, and says Rollins will exploit that. He says that Reigns is too soft to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, kissing up to the fans, when what he should be doing is caring only about himself. Reigns says he doesn’t care what the people think of him. He says they can boo him all they want, and says its not going to change the fact that he is the champion. Rollins goes to speak, but takes a Superman Punch from Reigns. Rollins takes a while to recover, when Reigns Spears him, then stands over Rollins with the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Golden Truth vs. The Shining Stars The Golden Truth were looking for their first win as a team, while The Shining Stars were looking to win their second in a row. Primo and Goldust are in the ring at the end of the match, as Goldust is able to pin Primo after a Final Cut.
Kevin Owens is shown backstage, as he says that at Money in the Bank, he will climb the ladder and grab the briefcase, and he will become Mr. Money in the Bank. He says he doesn’t who he has to take down, he then says he’ll take down everyone in the match, as long as he walks out with a guaranteed WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
Renee Young is shown backstage, and she announces her guest to be Apollo Crews. Renee asks Crews about his match tonight against Sheamus. Crews says he can’t wait to show Sheamus exactly what he’s made of. He says two weeks ago, Sheamus brutally attacked him, saying he’s jealous of The New Era. He says he couldn’t compete last week because of the injuries, and says tonight, he’s back, and he’ll show Sheamus exactly why his time has passed.
A video is shown, promoting the return of The Wyatt Family.
Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens This was a great, back and forth match. Kevin Owens looked like he had control of the match in hand, when Sami Zayn came down and attacked Owens while the ref was down! Zayn bought Ambrose some time to recover, and Ambrose was able to make a comeback and hit Dirty Deeds to win the match.
The New Day are shown backstage, as Xavier says that The Vaudevillians have a second shot at their WWE World Tag Team Championships! He says that the last time they had a shot, he pinned Simon Gotch, and says this time, he doesn’t see it going any differently. Shane and Stephanie McMahon are shown backstage, as they discuss the draft so far. Shane and Stephanie both agree that both rosters are coming along nicely.
Zack Ryder is shown backstage, as he says that last week was great for him! He says on Raw, he pinned the Intercontinental Champion! Then, he says, he won again on SmackDown! He says he’s getting closer and closer to being a champion again!
Charlotte w/ Dana Brooke vs. Paige Charlotte and Paige both had the upper hand at some point in the match, but it ended after Charlotte was able to lock in the Figure Eight, forcing Paige to tap out.
Shane and Stephanie McMahon come out onto the stage to announce their next picks. Shane explains that because Stephanie chose a tag team as her most recent pick, he is allowed a tag team or two singles stars. Because of this, he announces his picks to be Dolph Ziggler and The Miz! Ziggler’s theme hits, and he comes out, but before he can do anything, Miz’s theme hits, and he comes out with Maryse, upstaging Ziggler. Ziggler doesn’t look happy, as Stephanie then says that her pick is Alberto Del Rio! Del Rio comes out onto the stage, and shakes Stephanie’s hand.
After a commercial break, we see The Miz and Maryse walking backstage. Dolph Ziggler confronts Miz, and demands to know why Miz couldn’t wait, and had to upstage him. Maryse says its not their fault that Dolph is easily upstaged. Ziggler says he’ll teach Miz a thing or two about upstaging, and challenges him to a match. Maryse is about to shut Ziggler down, but Miz takes off his sunglasses, looks at Ziggler, chuckles, then accepts. He and Maryse then leave, as Ziggler looks on.
Cesaro is shown backstage, and he says that he’s ready to grab the brass ring, which is in the form of a Money in the Bank briefcase. He says that when he becomes Mr. Money in the Bank, the entire WWE Universe will be on watch for him to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Apollo Crews vs. Sheamus Sheamus is able to control the match throughout, shutting down Crews at every opportunity. Sheamus gets overconfident, and begins toying with Crews. Crews takes advantage of this and makes a comeback, hitting Sheamus with a Gorilla press drop, then a standing moonsault, and pins Sheamus.
Charlotte and Dana Brooke are shown backstage, and Natalya again walks up to them. Natalya congratulates Charlotte for her win against Paige, but says beating her won’t be as easy. Charlotte says Natalya is just annoying her at this point, and says she doesn’t care about how “easy” it will be to beat her, saying she will either way. Natalya says if she can beat her without help, then she’ll be impressed. Natalya then walks off.
Renee Young is shown backstage, as she says her guest is Dean Ambrose. Renee asks Dean about the Money in the Bank ladder match, and Dean says it should be fun. He says he can’t wait to see everyone fighting over the briefcase, for a guaranteed opportunity to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Then Ambrose says its gotta take someone completely crazy in order to win a match like that. He then laughs, and walks off.
The show cuts to an already ongoing brawl between Enzo and Cass and The Dudley Boyz. Bubba quickly takes out Enzo, as the Dudleyz begin to double team Big Cass. The Dudleyz hit a 3D on Cass, then yell at them that the New Era will be going through the Attitude Era!
The Miz w/ Maryse vs. Dolph Ziggler Miz and Ziggler try to one-up each other during the match. Ziggler has the upper hand on Miz, before Maryse causes a distraction. Miz is able to take the upper hand, hitting a Skull Crushing finale on Ziggler! Maryse gets on the apron, as she and Miz gloat. The ref forces Maryse off the apron, and sends her to the back. Maryse looks offended, as she is forced backstage. As Miz argues with the ref, Ziggler is able to roll up Miz and get the 3 count.
AJ Styles makes his way to the ring, and he says its pretty obvious Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson aren’t going to let things between themselves go in different directions. Styles says he was attacked by The Club at the end of SmackDown, and says there’s only one way to settle the score. He demands The Club come out now, and they do, as they stand on the stage. Gallows says Styles is being soft, and says that they can still fix things. He says Styles can join them, and they can help him become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Styles says he doesn’t need their help, and says he’s intent on doing it on his own. Anderson then asks Styles what he thinks he needs to do to “settle the score.” Styles challenges The Club to a tag team match at Money in the Bank. The Club laughs, and Gallows says Styles doesn’t have a partner. Styles says he’ll find a partner by Money in the Bank, and says he and his partner will beat them at Money in the Bank.
John Cena is shown backstage, and he says Money in the Bank will feature the John Cena Open Challenge! He says he would offer Open Challenges every week as the United States Champion, and says, one time only, he will host an open challenge without the US Title. He says he hopes whoever challenges him can handle themselves against The Face that Runs the Place!
Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho Zayn and Jericho have a great match, as Jericho has the upper hand. He has Zayn locked in the Walls of Jericho, as Zayn tries to claw his way to the ropes. Zayn grabs the bottom rope, and Jericho keeps the Walls in until a count of 4. He lets go, and the ref is telling Jericho off. During this, Kevin Owens comes out from the crowd, drags Zayn out of the ring, powerbombs him, then rolls him back in the ring and hides from the ref. Faarooq, has passed away at the age of 58. Simmons broke ground in the wrestling world as the first African American to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
